Yes and they also first rejected John a prophet sent to them from God.

Lu 7:30 But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
Jo 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Jesus came into this world to die for our sins when Peter tried to stop Jesus He rebuked Satan. Jesus Christ purpose was to die for our sins God already had foreknowledge of all things! Jesus prayed Father Forgive them they know not what they do ! Jesus loves Israel ! It was King Herod a puppet King that ordered the death of John The Baptist Jesus’ second Cousin. Salomi danced for John & personally requested his head ! This is because many Jewish people loved John The Baptist. King Herod was very pagan and evil he wasn’t Jewish he was an Edomite placed by Rome to rule and Jewish people were greatly resentful of his rule and authority allowed by The Roman Administration under Pontius Pilate

Most religious Jews are conversant in the New Testament. They know far more about Christianity than many believe. And they’re aware most Christians can’t say the same about Judaism or the Old Testament.

Dual covenant theology was started by Dispensationalism and perpetuated by Hagee and others. The interesting thing about that, Jews could care less. They are not ignorant of the fact that Christians of this elk wish for them to build the temple, have some anti-Christ take it over and deceive all the Jews. This is what futurism teaches. So there is no way an orthodox Jew would accept the concept of a "dual covenant". They would never want to be associated with Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He would never trick them into it.
Blessings

What happens when a modern Orthodox Jew finds the promise of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34) in his Hebrew scriptures?

Every year thousands of modern Orthodox Jews die without Christ.

During my lifetime the Church has done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with Orthodox Jews. Various forms of Dual Covenant Theology are part of the problem.

If we really love them we should be willing to ask the following questions which reveal the true identity of the Jewish Messiah.

Do you believe what is written in the Hebrew scriptures?

Who is the "seed of the woman" who bruises the serpent's head in Genesis 3:15?

Who is God's "son" in Psalm 2?

Who is "the suffering servant" from Isaiah chapter 53?

Who fulfilled the "New Covenant" promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34?

Who is the Messiah found in the timeline of Daniel chapter 9?

Who is the only person who fulfilled the Hebrew scriptures found above?

Forbidden Chapter in the Tanakh (Jewish Evangelism)

.

Part of the early reluctance to share the gospels with gentiles was that the dumbing down that entailed put up barriers to Jewish seekers. Contrast the book of James with Romans. This problem went away for 2000 years cause distinctive congregations of Jewish Christians evaporated after the fall of Jerusalem. The people having most success converting Jews in Israel and even from Orthodox backgrounds are the Hebrew speaking Messianic Jews using the Masoretic text. There are now some 30000 Messianic Jews in Israel.

Joh 19:11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.

Jesus died for that sin to be forgiven. He wasn’t in any way inferring that Jewish people weren’t forgiven by his atonement through his blood by dying in the cross .

OK, we are all free for our own opinions :)

I disagree with nothing in these statements. :)

It isn’t a refusal because theirs an attitude of blame it is a supernatural spiritual blindness that also Paul The Apostle had and that a real love for Jewish people is to pray that God will remove the spiritual blindness so that there hearts will be open to hear and believe in The Good News of Yeshua (Jesus)

@Mark45 @BABerean2
Thanks for replying everyone. As I said earlier, I try to stay out of these discussion now, I simply meant to add that we need to dig deeper to the Jewish side of the argument and scripture interpretation if we really want to understand it. I won't be engaging in this thread further.

The point of my post was the difference between Peter or any of the Apostles (ignorance at that time) or the Roman authorities. The rulers (especially that generation) among the Jews. They sat as Judges, having a responsibility to judge a just judgement before God.

The gospels are a testimony the ruling Sanhedrin were unjust judges. That generation still affects Judaism to this day.

Two of those success stories are found below.

The battle between those who follow Christ, and the Pharisees of Orthodox Judaism is alive and well in the modern State of Israel. Some things have not changed since the first century.

Many thousands of young Israelis have rejected Orthodox Judaism, and are looking for the truth.
The time to share with them the promise of the New Covenant found in Jeremiah 31:31-34, is now.

Rabbinic Jews still await the Moshiakh. The new covenant has not been established yet but will be with the coming of the Moshiakh and the rebuilding of the Temple.
Well, the new covenant has been established, but they haven't embraced it yet.

How then being Orthodox do you partake of the sacrament of the Eucharist?

All synagogues serve bread (challah) and wine on the Sabbath. The meal is blessed and the congregation partakes. In some places, a formal meal follows which members consume as a group. The meal is free.
If this has anything to do with my question concerning the Eucharist, perhaps I should have clarified "Eastern Orthodox"?

BABerean2 said:
What did the Apostle Paul do?
He lived a Jewish life and what the rabbis in Rome saw was a very devout Jew telling them about the Messiah. Note what he said in verse 17:

17 After three days Paul called together those who were the leading men of the Jews, and when they came together, he began saying to them, “Brethren, though I had done nothing against our people or the customs of our fathers, yet I was delivered as a prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.

"customs of our fathers" means he kept to the oral tradition as well as the Torah. If honest religious Jews are to come to faith in Messiah, it has to be from seeing and wanting something they recognize as their own, and not some pagan substitute. (how christianity is viewed)
An interesting word is used in this verse concerning Paul and the Customs/Law

Acts 21:21
"They were instructed yet about the apostasy/apo-stasian <646> thou are teaching from Moses, the according to the nations all Judeans saying 'no to be circumcising them the offsprings, no yet to the customs/eqesin <1485> to be walking'". [2 Thessalonians 2:3]

A thread on the Apostle Paul keeping the OC Mosaic Torah
the Apostle Paul kept the Torah!
376868"

Paul keeping the Torah was brought up in the thread quoted above by a member.
Can anyone here prove Paul didn't keep the Torah?
Is than any instance shown in the NT that the Apostle Paul broke Torah?
.
Then we have the Sanhedrins:

Matthew 24, Mark 13 and Luke's Temple/Jerusalem Discourses harmonized- Poll Thread
Delivered up to Synagogues, Sanhedrins and Prisons

Only Mark mentions "Sanhedrins" in the 70ad Olivet Discourse.

Matthew 10:17
And, take ye heed of men, for they will give you up to Sanhedrins, and in their synagogues they will scourge you,
Matthew 24:9
Then will they deliver you to tribulation, and shall be killing ye,
and you will be hated by all the nations on account of My name.
Matthew 26:59
Now the chief priests, the elders, and all the Sanhedrin<4892> sought false testimony against Jesus to put Him to death,
Mark 13:9
'And take ye heed to yourselves, for they shall deliver you up to Sanhedrims, and to Synagogues ye shall be beaten, and before governors and kings ye shall be set for my sake, for a testimony to them;
Jhn 5:16
For this reason the Judeans persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill Him,[fn] because He had done these things on the Sabbath.
Jhn 7:1
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Judeans sought to kill Him.
Acts 9:29
And he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus and disputed against the Hellenists, but they attempted to kill him.
Acts 23:14

Who-any toward coming to the Chief-priests and to the Elders say "to-anathema/anaqemati <331> We anathematize/aneqematisamen <332> (5656) ourselves of no yet nothing to taste till of which we may be killing Paul."
===============================
Romans 2:23

Who in law are boasting through the transgression of the Law, the God thou are dishonoring
24 'For the name of the God because of ye, is being blasphemed in the nations' according as it has been written.'
[Psalm 74:10]
========================================
Revelation 16:11
And they blaspheme the God of the heaven out of the miseries of them, and out of the sores of them, and not they reform out of the works of them

Not sure I understand your question. What I wrote is only applicable to Rabbinic Jews who do not believe in Yeshua.

Unbelieving Jews are blinded by God. You can't reason them into believing in Christ.

2Co 4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2Co 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.
2Co 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Co 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

I was not a believer until after I became an adult.

Eph 1:12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Thousands of Orthodox Jews are coming to faith in Christ, every year.

Act 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; Editbut now commandeth all men every where to repent:

.
