"The Trump administration has not installed a single mile of new wall in a previously fenceless part of the U.S.-Mexico border in the 30 months since President Trump assumed office, despite his campaign promise to construct a 'big beautiful wall'.”

Trump has not built a single mile of new border fence, agency confirms

There are also no immediate plans for any new segments to be built which means it's quite possible that none of President Trump's "big beautiful wall" will be built during his term in office.

Because the democratic seats wouldn't agree to it.
They made it impossible for him to build the wall, and then blame him for not building it.

I don't know if we can blame this one entirely on the Democrats though, not that I'm sticking up for them or anything. After all, he did indicate Mexico would be paying for it. That turned out to be a big joke of course.

Even if Mexico paid for it, they wouldn't make it easy for him to do so.
A federal judge in California(no surprise) shut down the plans for a wall. Banning a border wall being build in certain areas.

If I recall correctly I think the Republicans controlled both the house and the senate for the first two years of Trump's presidency.

I knew the moment I read your OP that a loyal Trump supporter would retort with an attempt to blame the Democrats and act as if Trump has been trying to built his border wall all along.

Also, I believe Trump rejected 25 billion for a border wall. Unless that was fake news.

What happened to Trump's presidential campaign promise of making Mexico pay for the border wall?

Trump Insists Mexico Will Pay for Wall After U.S. Begins the Work

Trump claims he never said Mexico would cut a check for the wall. Let’s go to the tape

But wouldn't they have still needed some Democrat votes in order to pass things? Especially in the Senate.

There were also a couple times Trump himself torpedoed a deal with the Democrats to fund his wall in exchange for DACA legislation. Trump has just as much himself to blame for not having his wall as he does the Democratic House, which btw, only came into power this past January. Before that Congress was entirely in Republican control. Again, Trump can blame himself for not having made many friends within his party during his run up to being elected.

He shutdown the government because he wasn't getting his way with the border wall. He initially said that he would own that shutdown, but then he turned around and blamed the Democrats for it.

Because the democratic seats wouldn't agree to it.

Is that why Trump consistently lies about building the wall?

They made it impossible for him to build the wall, and then blame him for not building it.

No, they made it impossible for him to build the wall and then comment on his continued lies about building the wall.

There's a difference.

But...but... the Art of the Deal said he’d get it done and Mexico would foot the bill.

Let’s remember that Trump had a GOP Congress for two years and couldn’t get it done. So, of course blame the Democrats.:ebil:
