As God says in Ecclesiastes,

Ecclesiastes 1:4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth standeth for ever. [5] The sun riseth, and goeth down, and returneth to his place: and there rising again,

Our soul has a linear trajectory. Life does not. The cycle continues, from parent to child, and onward.
In order for something to be cyclic... it has to come back around... Parent to child is a chain that never bends back around to the start. Life just continues in a perfectly straight line into the future.

Those quotes I posted tell us that it is the sun and moon that are moving and not the earth.

It is a deception and lie that is so diabolical that most people can not even begin to comprehend it.

.
I am reading and looking into this.. It is cognitive dissonance that keeps us believing something simply because that is all we have known. Thus, we cannot comprehend anything that shows as evidence to the contrary.

We are, from our first days of observation, presented with a globe and the solar system around it as mobiles even in our cribs.... innocently enough...

However, it embosses on our minds the viewpoint that is not easily changed.

Like looking at a double clothes line from a different angle and it confuses your mind and your binocular vision.. it takes a while to sort out the geometry and focus on the reality.

Or those pictures that used to be in all the magazines and papers... If you stared at them in the right way.. you could see a three dimensional image.. to others it was a flat abstract pattern..

We all start at the same point "that's stupid", "that's ridiculous", "You have got to be kidding me, you're crazy"..... Yep... we all start there..

From there some are totally thoroughly convinced... others never are. The gap between is filled with varying attitudes and ideas.

The bible... IMO a flat earth book all the way.

Fact is.. there are total atheists who delve into this renewed argument, only to come out the other side as total FE believers.... and believers in God and Jesus as their savior..

Many have lost fortunes and livelihoods, professions and sponsors to a career... yet they still believe 100% FE.

I believe that this argument is far from over. Combine it with "Aliens", "UFO's", "Demonic possession", the One World Government, and giants from the past..... it's only just beginning.

That's not what God says.

Ecclesiastes 1:[1] The words of Ecclesiastes, the son of David, king of Jerusalem. [2] Vanity of vanities, said Ecclesiastes vanity of vanities, and all is vanity. [3] What hath a man more of all his labour, that he taketh under the sun? [4] One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth standeth for ever. [5] The sun riseth, and goeth down, and returneth to his place: and there rising again,

[6] Maketh his round by the south, and turneth again to the north: the spirit goeth forward surveying all places round about, and returneth to his circuits. [7] All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea doth not overflow: unto the place from whence the rivers come, they return, to flow again. [8] All things are hard: man cannot explain them by word. The eye is not filled with seeing, neither is the ear filled with hearing. [9] What is it that hath been? the same thing that shall be. What is it that hath been done? the same that shall be done. [10] Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: Behold this is new: for it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us.

When you go the the doctor do you expect him to follow Biblical or first century medical practice? I hope not. Those authors were not speaking from revelation, maybe not even literally. What spiritual good is being accomplished by your belief?
Would you go to a mere mortal to talk about something that he thinks happened 6000 years before he was born.. based on something he found underground?
Or
Would you believe the creator who told us how He did it and how long it took Him?

After a few months, a baby begins to realize that the world is knowable and can be tested. As time goes on, that realization is repeatedly reinforced. It takes a great deal of intense indoctrination to get a human to reject evidence and rely on authority.

Which is why flat-Earthers are so often creationists and legalistically religious.

Comes down to evidence. What does he have to support his idea?

Would you believe the creator who told us how He did it and how long it took Him?

Which actually means, "Would you believe men who are trying to sell their new interpretation of God's word?'

Interpretation. The Bible is the most misinterpreted and misunderstood book in the whole world.

Do you take Revelation as purely 100% literal?

Again, events happen over and over.. There are champions, losers, lovers, haters..... Not a cycle of life. A linear event these generations.... Only the sun, and water are going around. The earth always still.

Interesting though... The sun moves around the earth.

There is no comparison to the style of writing in the book of Genesis.. to the book of Revelations.

Genesis is the first and very clearly written. The book of revelations takes a scholar to interpret due to all the symbols that exist throughout all the previous scripture, which are applied in this last book.

To compare them and state "do you take Revelation as 100% literal" is to miss the entire difference in their purposes.

Oh, so you take everything in Genesis as literal but decide not to do the same with Revelation!

Pick and choose what suits your beliefs?

And what "diabolical" end is being accomplished?

That we are insignificant evolved monkeys flying through space on a rock orbiting the sun and that there are endless galaxies etc.

Solid but vastly misinterpreted and misunderstood
All I am talking about is the cannon of the Bible. That is why we have a Bible because we know that the Bible in the original language can be trusted. Also we can trust the KJV of the Bible although that has to do with authority from God and it is still not as good as the original language in the Hebrew. If you are not KJV ONLY then good luck trying to receive what you think the Bible says.
