Do this with me please, please... Forget "everything you know or think you know" for a minute OK...? Just everything for a minute, OK...? And put your thinking caps on OK...? I know I may be asking a lot, but just please do this for a minute, OK...?

Now, "think" of the "absolute Highest Entity or Being or God you can think of" OK...? Consider His Omniscience... or that Ones knowing everything from beginning to ending, from the very beginning, or before even making, OK... And I do mean "everything" down it's smallest detail to it's largest OK...? And, also keep in mind that He is the one who created or set all this in motion also, OK...?

Now, what would that One be "like"...? Would He have feelings like ours...? And if so, how would He or that One express them...? Would He even be able to, or be able to show us Himself without "others" maybe just slightly "less than" Himself in "some ways"...? Would be able to do that (show us Himself) without that (others maybe just slightly less than Himself in some ways)...?

Yes, or No...?

Then and now, "Consider"... Consider all of this and let's discuss please... Discuss all of this and all the probabilities and possibilities, and let's all try to all comprehend it all together OK...?

And then, "Discuss"... What do you think...? What are your thoughts and theories...?

And then, finally, how would they fit into and with scripture as just one final note...?

And then, lets's "Discuss" it, OK...?

God Bless!

No, not OK.
Oh come on, why not...?

And if not, could you tell me "exactly why not" maybe...? Or what it is exactly that you won't or don't or refuse to "exactly" ect...?

God Bless!

When we look at the false religions of the world, we see a pattern wherein people like to fashion a god that is just like themselves. Even we Christians have that tendency to reduce the most holy and righteous God down to a being that is less than what He has revealed Himself to be. We need to keep turning back to His revelation and reminding ourselves that God is not like humanity, especially fallen humanity. Rather, He is infinite in His goodness, trustworthy in all of His promises, worthy of all our praise and worship. The finite, sinful mind which suppresses the truth in unrighteousness imagines a god that is less powerful, less wise, less just than the actual One.

I greatly agree...

And to this comment: "Even we Christians have that tendency to reduce the most holy and righteous God down to a being that is less than what He has revealed Himself to be."

If anything, I am trying to raise our concept of God to "more than what He has revealed Himself to be", in the past and in times past, ect...

And I think that that is a lot of peoples problem with it also...

I lift God up higher, while others are trying to bring Him down lower...

God Bless!

Do you even think we would even have the ideas that we do, about God in Scripture, without some very revolutionary people and great thinkers that were unafraid to think, or lift God up "higher", or even very much "Higher" than, or above all the pagan ideas or ideals of the world, or that the world around them had at the time, ect...?

Think we would even have what we have without those ones...?

God Bless!

And His Holy Spirit does not reveal things though us, through Him today through it...?

We know God by two means: first, by the creation, preservation and government of the Universe; which is before our eyes as a most elegant book, wherein all created things, great and small, are as so many characters leading us to contemplate the invisible things of God, namely, his power and divinity, as the apostle Paul says in Romans 1:20. All which things are sufficient to convince men, and leave them without excuse.

Secondly, God makes himself more clearly and fully known to us by his holy and divine word (the Scriptures).

Before someone says: "You are not talking about the God of the Bible..."

I would say, we'll get to that... if we do... and I would tell you that it/He or and He ties into the Trinity, the real Trinity, of or from the Bible and Jesus NT teachings...

And I would also say that, I most certainly am talking about the Heavenly, Heaven Father God that Jesus spoke of for sure though...

God Bless!

Yes I did say by or through Holy Spirit by "it" (The Scriptures)...

And, "Am I contradicting Scriptures"...? Or not...?

Creation is awesome isn't it... I still stand in awe and wonder of it much of the time...

And hope that never goes away, ect...

And, "Am I contradicting Scriptures"...?

Your past statements certainly have done.

And your suggestion that we should forget all the Scripture we know does not exactly inspire confidence.

I didn't say forget scripture, I said forget what you know for a minute and approach this then go back and apply it to scripture, or what you know of scripture afterwards... Big difference...

And how have I been contradicting scripture, care to give me a specific example (if you can), ect...?

God Bless!

If you believe that Scripture is true revelations of God, then we are in the image and likeness of God...so you can know something about God by knowing humanity.
Only a God who is like humanity...

Is this God like humanity or a human being...?

God Bless!

We at least were like God at our creation. And have the potential to be still. To ignore this when thinking about humanity in relation to God is to ignore the nobility and dignity with which the human being was bestowed by its Creator.

Regardless, my point was that you either believe that Scripture is revealed truth or not. And if it is, why would you want to disregard it when thinking about such questions and instead rely only on your imagination?

Well, no, obviously. We were created as finite creatures, in time, neither omniscient, nor omnipresent, nor omnipotent.

No doubt you meant something else?

Regardless, my point was that you either believe that Scripture is revealed truth or not. And if it is, why would you want to disregard it when thinking about such questions and instead rely only on your imagination?

We're 100% in agreement there.
