Watch the tape. There's no way to spin Donald Trump's 'send her back' complicity - CNNPolitics
About a third of the way through his 90+-minute speech at a campaign rally in North Carolina on Wednesday night, President Donald Trump began to attack Somali-born Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar. It was a continuation of a series of racist tweets he had sent over the weekend in which he urged Omar -- as well as three other liberal, non-white, female members of Congress to go back where they came from.

Amid Trump's onslaught on the freshman Democrat on Wednesday, the North Carolina rally crowd began to chant "Send her back! Send her back!"
That chant has drawn considerable attention -- and criticism -- over the ensuing hours, with even some Republican leaders, like National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Emmer (Minnesota), disavowing it.
And now, even Trump is trying to get away from the chant by rewriting the history of what happened.
You want to know how to shut down racist comments?

If they (anybody) doesn't like it here in the US why not leave?

I would not enjoy the long suffering if I was you?

M-Bob

Obviously Mr. Trump thought that the US wasn't great and didn't like it, because he wanted to 'make it great again'. So by your logic, he should have just left instead.

In a nation where every "wacko" and his brother have easy access to assault rifles, "The Donald" and his conservative supporters had better pray every night that his inflammatory tweets and comments don't result in a member of the Democratic member of the House being attacked!

Or...we can work to make something better. You don't like what we make? Then you should feel free to move somewhere you like better.

I would not enjoy the long suffering if I was you?
Oh I don't mind suffering to make something I like better, so that's not a problem. Thanks for your concern though. What I do find funny is I'm, once again, basically being told "America! Love it or leave it!" only now it's by people who are younger then me instead of older like the last time!

"...he urged Omar -- as well as three other liberal, non-white, female members of Congress to go back where they came from."

Yet again another MISQUOTE and the video we are to watch doesn't show the above statement! Now obviously the crowd is chanting, "Send her back." President Trump never agreed with this in the video but what did he actually say that this thread is hiding.

Trump: “Why don’t they go back & help fix the totally broken & crime infested places from which they came. Then come back & show us how it is done.” Nothing about color or race was mentioned.

Those were his actual words used. Not that they should be 'sent back--period--but why don't they go back, etc.

I am not an admirer of President Trump in a number of things. I am a registered Democratic voter. But I recognize several things, as a Christian who believes in God's sovereignty & the Holy Scriptures.

Romans 13:1-7 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place & those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right & you will have his approval. For he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not carry the sword in vain. He is God’s servant, an agent of retribution to the wrongdoer.

5Therefore, it is necessary to submit to authority, not only to avoid punishment, but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes. For the authorities are God’s servants, who devote themselves to their work. Pay everyone what you owe him: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.

8Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet” & any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Psalm 75:2-7“When I choose a time, I will judge fairly. When the earth & all its dwellers quake, it is I who bear up its pillars. Selah. I say to the proud, ‘Do not boast & to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn. Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak with an outstretched neck.’”

6For exaltation comes neither from east nor west, nor out of the desert, but it is God who judges; He brings one down & exalts another.

That is why I promote praying for those who are in authority as the Apostle Paul taught Timothy, to pass on to the churches & pray for Trump to be saved.

ITimothy 2:1-4 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions & thanksgiving be offered on behalf of all men for kings & all those in authority, so that we may lead tranquil & quiet lives in all godliness & dignity. This is good & PLEASING in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved & to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Many people come to America, to escape what is going on in other countries & get educated as doctors, scientists, etc. & do go back & make a difference in their nations. Some, however, cannot go back due to the danger there.

She was the only one of the four that was born in a foreign country, Mogadishu, Somalia & does come to America by way of escaping from Somalia & the war there & emigrating from a refugee camp. Before congress, she was a nutritional educator & can do a lot of good from her training in this.

Rashida Tlaib also was born to Palestinian & Syian refugees, who first moved to Nicaragua & then to the US in the predominantly Muslim city of Detroit, Michigan.

"It’s a great honor for the Palestinian people to have Rashida in the Congress,” said Mohammed Tlaib, the village’s former mayor and a distant relative. “For sure she will serve Palestine, for sure she will serve the interests of her nation. She is deeply rooted here.”

Make no mistake. She was elected to serve the United State of America & to uphold the constitution yet this is what is said about her.

"While celebrating her win, Tlaib was embraced early Wednesday morning by her mother, Fatima, who briefly wrapped a Palestinian flag around Tlaib’s shoulders."

A victory in the USA would call for a US flag. Yet her mother wrapped a Palestinian flag around her. Where do her loyalties really lie?

Here is what Muslims typically practice with unbelievers (non-Muslims), which is called taqiyya.

While the Qur'an is against believers deceiving other believers—for "surely God guides not him who is prodigal and a liar"—deception directed at non-Muslims, generally known in Arabic as taqiyya, also has Qur'anic support and falls within the legal category of things that are permissible for Muslims. It is here that they have deployed taqiyya—not as dissimulation but as active deceit. In fact, deceit, which is doctrinally grounded in Islam, is often depicted as being equal—sometimes superior—to other universal military virtues...

And is this being practiced by Rashida Tlaib? Here is proof by a CNN report.

And what about Dearborn (suburb of Detroit) & Hamstramck Michigan, largest cities of Muslims in the US? Hamstramck's government is run by Muslims only & Dearborn is 50% Muslim & running other non-Muslims out. In case you don't think they will radically change the USA & seek for domination over the US, take a look at these signs in those towns.

Dr. Abdul el-Sayed ran for governor of Michigan in 2018 but lost. He has been backed by the Muslim Brotherhood. This is the danger America faces today & few are aware of it.
The Muslim Brotherhood has clearly outlined their plan, and believe that it would take them 30 years to completely take over America in the name of Islam from WITHIN. The scary part, is that they planned this some 27 years ago.

The billboard translated reads: “Donald Trump, he can’t read this, but he is afraid of it.”

If you try to access the website on the billboard, mysteriously you can't. mmmm

65$ of Americans surveyed described Trump's tweet as "dog whistle" code meant to convey a racist message - phrased in such a manner as to provide plausible deniability!

What's particularly distressing isn't Trump's deliberate attempt to resurrect racism as a wedge issue in the 2020 Campaign, but that 40$ of the American public are receptive and willing to act as "enablers!"

Many of us were under the illusion that Americans and US politics had progressed well beyond the "Jim Crow" era - Trump has proved us wrong!

(Shrugs) I think you didn't understand his messaging with the phrase or the logic that others like yourself chose to ignore. It wasnt that hard to see, so choose to ignore it. Okay. That's fine

With the messaging constantly being about how awful the country is, and no recognition of the advances so they can instead only concentrate on the imperfections? How everyone 'hates' and has phobias?

I guess understand why those same individuals that encouraged the hate dont want to get it. It wasn't that hard to connect the dots. I may not be his greatest supporter, and really wasnt that hard to grasp. Lol sarcasm doesn't do much to change it.

Lol Yeah..lol he thought it wasnt that great. Go with that. Yes the man can be a putz. So are many of those that hint at the imperfections of the country, and claim it never was great.

Can we presume that the Founding Fathers could be considered the greatest "America Haters" of all - given that they were unhappy with the "status quo" and unwilling to move back from where they came!

...again, we don't mind suffering to get accomplished what we think will make America a better place. It's the only way anything good gets done.

Obviously something happened between last night's rally where the audience responded to Trump's "SEND HER BACK" tweet, and todays attempt by the President to distance himself from their chants!

When 64% of the nation thinks that their President made a racist tweet, even Trump's most loyal advisors know that he can't be re-elected by the other 36%!

As for "looking in the mirror," its a well established Trump tactic to make an outrageous statement, then feign one's innocence and accuse those reporting your comments as belonging to the guilty parties - its nothing more than "The Donald's " twisted version of "SHOOT THE MESSANGER(S)!"

Love is long suffering. I study semantics, particularly the branch that deals in propaganda, sophistry and psychological manipulation. I can assure you that any reasoning based upon falsehood ends in a contradiction, even as I can assure you that the true moral direction is to love others as you would want to be loved. Respectfully, your post is innuendo, insinuating that Omar doesn't like it here in America. You pose a question that applies to (anybody) as if this would eliminate the obfuscation, but it doesn't even address the falsehood of the premise, nor hide your own sentiment based on the false premise. Assuming that you're a child of God, you should first educate yourself about what Omar actually said before accepting any false premise/propaganda/slander, presented by a dishonest politician.

The Nation: So suddenly you’re elected, and you had this teaching moment. It strikes me that, in watching you, you are conscious of teaching moments and of that opportunity to say something that might cause people to think differently about what’s going on.

Ilhan Omar: Right. I mean, I think people have a misconception about refugees and, and the process they go through to come to the United States. They certainly have been misinformed about the process of resettlement as well. And the Republicans are really good at misinformation and sort of really reorganizing facts to sort of paint a picture that really eventually is not rooted in fact. We had a person who was running for governor, and he kept talking about ending the resettlement program and making sure that that that wasn’t going to happen. And I remember I wrote this tweet and I said, you know, I wish that you would take the time to at least educate yourself about how the resettlement program works. There are agencies that run the resettlement program. This is, this is a process that’s run through them. If you end that contract, it’s not that refugees are not going to be resettled, it’s that the state just doesn’t get informed. And so the only leverage you have is that you are part of this contract and you can be part of the negotiations on how many people get resettled in your state. And so it is not that they might not be knowledgeable about this, but they use it as a tool to stir up hate and division. And ignorance really is pervasive in many parts of, of this country. And as someone who was raised by educators, I really like to inform people about things that they might be ignorant to, willingly or unwillingly.

Above, we see that Omar, who is a refugee, is clearly saying that some people might be ignorant of how the refugee re-settlement program works, and therefore may be prey for politicians who can use such ignorance to form undue fear and animosity towards refugees for their own political gain. Therefore her sentiment is about fighting against misinformation/disinformation that is effective only through ignorance.

Trump says this: “She looks down with contempt on the hard-working Americans, saying that ignorance is pervasive in many parts of this country,”...Trump's message is clearly playing only to those blinded by carnal vanity.
