No, before He was one with God of the same spirit---be became flesh in order to save us---not Himself!! He lowered Himself lower than the angels in order to save us. Yet JS wants to lower Him even further by saying that Jesus did not really come to save us--but to save Himself!! He contradicts everything by saying Jesus was the Son of God but that He was then only a "spirit child" and He had to become human in order to then become one with God!! Do you people never stop to think through this stuff? It staggers the mind that you can not see through this fallacy. JS is constantly trying to lower God and Jesus down to our level so we can go up to His---doesn't work that way!! God raises us to His level of love---not to His level of Godhood. Jesus never had to work Himself into Godhood, He always was one with the Father--not just in purpose but in Substance---they were the same God for like begets like. Animals produce animals, humans produce humans---God produced a God!! Not some spirit child that had to come down here to become like Him. You guys have never been able to make any sense at all--just gets more nonsensical the more we find out!

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young had to add many writings to what has been given us in the Bible , in order to promote their own beliefs, Smith did not restore anything, he was deceived and on of the deceivers that JESUS Himself warned believers about.

So we do not add, nor do we take away from the words of the prophecy of this book. John was talking about the book of Revelation, not the bible, which is made up of many letters of the apostles and others. Do you agree with me?

Second, you have taken away from the bible, I don't know if you even know you have, so are you under condemnation for taking away from the canon of 66 books in the bible? And what you have taken away makes a great deal of difference in how you think of Jesus, so it is important.

You made the statement:

And more specifically:
"He sent His only Son Jesus Christ".

You get this doctrine from several translations of the bible that have changed that passage from: He sent His only 'begotten' Son, Jesus Christ, to: He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ.

It is fashionable these days among Christendom to take away the word 'begotten' from the bible. The older versions of the bible still have the word 'begotten' in this passage. But when you take it away, it is a way different Jesus than when you leave it in.

We leave 'begotten' in and that means your Jesus is different from ours, but who is right? All I can say about that is, you took away from the bible to get to your Jesus, we did not.

Jesus is the Christ and our Master, He is NOT our brother. Jesus is our Lord and Savior, Jesus is God. The believers are brothers & sisters in Christ.
Please ,I wish you would realize that you have been taught to believe errors. Lds have no actual idea about true Christian theology or the true christian doctrines because of what Lds wrongly teaches.
You need to leave lds, before it's too late, because they are distorting your understanding & teaching you to believe lies. You have been taught a mishmash of false teachings through the LDS writings & they have twisted the meaning of the scriptures to try to validate mormonism. It is actually quite surprising in a way, that anyone has believed those mormon fables, they are so outrageous. I certainly understand being duped by spiritual deception , I was lead into the false teachings of the new age spirituality 15 yrs ago prior to becoming saved. Thank the LORD God, that HE removed the scales from my eyes, & lead me to His beloved only begotten Son Christ Jesus that HE had mercy on me , and opened my eyes to see that I had been taught also to believe lies by false teachers & doctrines of demons. But Glory to God, lead me Christ and to study the Bible scripture , that is the ONLY SOURCE of spiritual knowledge, & the Bible is the only Divine authority which contains all the God-breathed spiritual truth. 2 Tim 3:16.
Mormons have been given another gospel that leads them astray, and away from God, spiritual Truth and not to heaven. There is no repentance, no forgiveness of sins, no resurrection into eternal life in LDS. Only Jesus Christ can wash away our sins by His death on the cross & give us salvation, we cannot earn heaven ourselves , we can not save ourselves from God's judgment--only the Lord Jesus can by paying the debt we owe, through grace by faith in HIM.
