For many years I have been struggeling with something. At a Christian festival as I sat among the people thinking about this problem an older woman (I never seen before) a few seats away started profetizing with a loud voice. It was like she was talking directly to me, starting with "So says the Lord..." and continuing with describing my problem and ending with that I didn't have to worry and that God would help me.

This is maybe five years ago and still the prophecy hasn't come true. Now I wonder why. Is it because I doubted in God's promise or because of personal sins, or maybe something else? Maybe more important, is the prophecy still valid or do think God has taken it back?

Lord speaks to each of us through His word and the Holy Spirit. You wonder why because you probably might be hearing and trusting in yourself and others more than the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. God might have already helped you and you did not recognize it. His ways are different from yours.

What prophecy? Jesus was the last one to prophecy. And the Lord speaks to each of us through His word and the Holy Spirit. You wonder why because you probably might be hearing and trusting in yourself and others more than the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. God might have already helped you and you did not recognize it. His ways are different from yours.

Maybe it's the wrong use of the word "prophecy", but God talked to me directly through this woman, and no the problem is still there, I would know if I was healed...

A few times it has happen. We went to visit this speaker at this other Church. The lord started to talk by him.. I just started crying.. It was me.. my wife..1st time ever taps me and says "it sounds like hes talking to you". FACT What God does for one.. He will do for all. That preacher said "I don't know who that was for but I'll take it". With GOD He will always confirm it. This is also written.

Did that one come to pass? No..not yet! There was a "IF YOU" in it. Something I HAVE to do. I was 15-16.. in a bible study.. one night as they were praying for me. He said.. "I see a sawhorse.. I see you working with wood" A.. no way! Well years pass move to a different state. I am now 21. Lost my job.. this man in the Church offered me a job. I had to go to some place.... was construction. Been a Carpenter all my life. Was ONLY after having that job.. did I remember what was prayed over me. There are others.. came to pass. One would blow you way.. It.. wow.. still gets me..

We need to remember GOD is out side of time. :) So many times.. it docent happen when WE want it. And it will give HIM glory. See..an example. Short is .. years ago our Church would go to other Churches and sing. Well one Sunday afternoon I went for a walk.. and said "I know you called me I just don't know to what". That night we sing.. we then would go out and pray for the people. I noticed to my left this man was praying for Roy from the Choir.. I knew it was God..I I thought.. ooh if I go over there maybe he will pray for me. NO CLUE haha why I thought that. So I go over and he does.. takes his hands off Roy then on me and says "My son.. I have called you but you dont know to what. You have great faith....." on and on.

Even though I KNOW that was of God.. I was alone when I said that to GOD. I STILL went to my pastor and asked "can this mans word be trusted".. is he a man of God.. and the Pastor said yes. Do you understand? Pray ask Him to say it again.. I don't know.

"The Lords says: You who who have this ... (describing my "health issue") do not worry, I will help you!"

False prophet people do those kinds of things all the time because someone is bound to have "x" health issue. It's often just falsehoods..

If your having a health issue, are you under doctors care?

Dear, that's not called direct talking. God relates to you personally. Can He also not talk to you directly?

Devil also knows your problem and misuses the name of the Lord to make you believe that God talked to you. That way it can deceive and disappoint you. You say she spoke with a loud voice. Don't believe all the loud voices you hear. God mostly speaks gently and softly to us.

God solves the real problem which you do not see now. So, His answer to our problems is different from what we expect.

I very much doubt it was a false prophet describing exactly my problem in detail the second after I had thought about it. I have never talked to this woman and I haven't told anyone else either for that matter. She could not possibly have known. She sat maybe three chairs away.

It's a bit complicated. Doctors can't help me. Thanks for your concern! :)

Of course God can talk to us directly, but often God uses people. Sure it possibly could be an evil spirit talking through her, but I very much doubt it.

Btw, how did God talk to Moses? In a loud and clear voice, we don't know.

From what you've said, maybe you are expecting your help to come in the wrong form or from the wrong person.

If your wording is exact and not paraphrased then He said he would help you, not heal you.

Remember Paul prayed three times to be healed of a certain thing and the Lords response was basically 'no' but he did help him to do what he needed to.

Don't limit the LORD GOD by presupposing what that help will be. Just stand in belief that if it's from the LORD he knows exactly what you need.

I agree there can be false ones out there.. end times.. allot! For me.. I always if form God .. get a peace. This is why I said.. even after I knew it was of God.. I still asked the Pastor if that mans word can be trusted. Satan can know things.

Even though I do believe God heals.. its written. But I agree with Gospels.. He said HELP you. Hold true to the word..GODS word. What He said.. everything in that BOOK? He will do.

What does Isa 53:5 say? 1st Peter 2:24? We/I tend to expect the min we ask.. WHERES MY HEALING? look at what Joseph OT went through. Through all that. God took all that and worked it out for there good. Even Job.. we don't know how long that went on. But DONT forget to read it all! What happen at the end? Healed and had twice all he had.

I agree with Lulav in that.. God said He will help...now.. HELP <---how far can you take that? FAITH.. AMEN don't limit God. If GOD said it? HELLO HE WILL Do it

"The Lords says: You who have this ... (describing my "health issue") do not worry, I will help you!"

Help doesn’t mean healing. It means He will abide with you through your illness.

I’ve been healed twice. The first occurrence was unexpected. I was recounting my illness to a prayer partner and He told me not to claim it anymore. I was healed. Medical doctors have confirmed this. I have no sign it ever existed in my body.

The second occurrence was preemptive. I was told to pray against the spirit of infirmity. One month later I woke and couldn’t move at all. They found the problem and provided treatment and physical therapy.

But when I arrived a therapy I had no pain at all. I was laughing. By the third session I was released and left praising God. I was supposed to have 8 and a second round if needed. I followed up with the doctor and they wished me well. That was a year ago.

Anyone who says "So says the Lord" is claiming to speak Scripture, because when the Lord speaks directly that is what it is. But the canon of Scripture is closed, therefore there are no additions to Scripture. The only ones in the New Testament who heard directly from God in what they said and taught to the churches were the Apostles. They were specially chosen to compile the New Testament Scriptures. Therefore anyone who gets up and says "So says the Lord" is false. This is because New Testament prophecy is to be judged to see if it complies with what has already been inspired in the written Scriptures. The implication when someone says "So says the Lord", those who judge the prophecy are seen as going against the Lord. But the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write that when a person prophesies, others should judge. This means that the person who judges the prophecy is correct, and the person who says "The Lord is saying this" is wrong and the prophecy is false.

Just because it is accurate does not mean that it comes from the Holy Spirit. Demons know all about us and can work through a false prophet to give very accurate words to make us think that they come from the Holy Spirit. We need to be very careful about prophecies of this nature where someone maintains that they are speaking directly from God.

I have been reading the comments on this post, and the first thing I think we need to make clear is that God can indeed proclaim a message to us via others, as the bible shows:

PRE-THE CROSS
Luke 2:38 And coming up at that very hour she began to give thanks to God and to speak of him to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

POST-THE CROSS
Act 21:11 And coming to us, he took Paul's belt and bound his own feet and hands and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘This is how the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

As for the message the woman gave, God said He would "help you". It is good that you are seeking healing from Jesus, for that is what we should do when sick. Yet not every time we have a sickness will God heal us. I have seen the sick healed through prayer, even cases that had no medical cure. But that said, I have had to have an operation to fix a hernia in my body, Jesus did not heal that thing. God will help, be that giving you endurance, or healing you physically.

I say good on you for seeking His healing, I will add you to my daily prayer list, and join with you in believing for your full health, and recovery. Yet is God chooses not to heal at this time, keep strong.

Agree He can speak as He chooses. When a prophetic word is given, we need to pray about it. Sure understand how difficult it is to wait. We know the timing is certainly The Lord's. Asks Him what He meant by this word because often we need clarification He promises to guide us.

Yes, good for you for believing He's going to heal you. I join with you in prayer, too.
