North Korea warned Tuesday that planned military exercises involving U.S. and South Korean forces would jeopardize proposed disarmament talks with Washington, and hinted it might respond by resuming nuclear and missile tests.

The North said its moratorium on nuclear and missile tests was a commitment it made in return to improve bilateral relations, “not a legal document inscribed on paper.”

“With the U.S. unilaterally reneging on its commitments, we are gradually losing our justification to follow through on the commitments we made with the U.S.,” it said.

Do you put ANY credibility in anything a US hating country would say about an American president??? Especially, since the one in office right now is doing such a good job of NOT playing all of those political games and conniving all of those traitorous exploits as you know who did with those who have or would easily target us as an enemy or steal our national worth??? Of course, N. Korea and a lot of the world would balk at a US President who holds them accountable for actions against the USA or which hurt the USA and who will not smile and play patty cake with them while they rape his country.

All I have to do is watch Donald's lying lips.

The US military will stop "war games" on the Korean Peninsula, US President Donald Trump said Tuesday, as he announced details of his discussions with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

It was a dumb thing to promise, but Trump also promised us that the threat posed by North Korea was over. Looks like both promises were empty. Not surprised the North Koreans are miffed at him going back on his word. I'm just wondering why his supporters aren't.

Of course, N. Korea and a lot of the world would balk at a US President who holds them accountable for actions against the USA or which hurt the USA

Go tell it to Otto Warmbier's parents.

North Korea will not give up it's nukes.
North Korea will never use it's nukes.

A nation bent on survival at all costs won't commit suicide by inviting nuclear destruction. The Ally's response to a North Korean assault (which would be unleashed against South Korea) is the total destruction of the North, not a measured military response.

As a side note Trump invited Kim to visit him in Washington. Perhaps Trump is familiar with Red Cloud's response to his visit to Washington in 1870.

OldWiseGuy, You are right about N Korea being afraid of significant retaliation, but N Korea knows that it would not be nuclear, No way. TODAY, the USA and others have the capability of "smart" or accurate retaliation. The fallout of any nuclear event, like even the nuclear reactor meltdown in Japan recently dumping billions of gls of radioactive coolant into the Pacific where we make sure none of our tuna or salmon came from now, affects/creates to many unintended parties/enemies causing collateral damage.

It would definitely not be nuclear. We can destroy them very quickly with conventional and high tech weapons. It would likely be preemptive as well.

They used "may resume" in the title. People talk, this is all nothing.
On the other hand, talking is not expensive. At least this president is willing to actually negotiate with our enemies, unlike the previous one who said he would go anywhere to talk to any of them but did not. And then he started his own war against a former enemy who was actually abiding by our demands. That's one reason that Kim doesn't think he can trust anything negotiated with the USA if it means him giving up his weapons.
