Here is something faith leaders and laypeople alike can do to move the world a bit closer to peace and away from war:

Faith Leaders Issue Emphatic 'No' to War with Iran

Not that it matters much, but I signed it even though I'm neither a faith leader nor a layperson. IMMHO, any step away from war is worth pursuing.

It appears to be a well researched, well motivated, well reasoned argument. One might think one would have to be crazy to disagree. Unfortunately it may turn out that all that is required for dissension is to be the present occupant of the Oval Office.

The Church needs to align itself as being servants of peace, as Christ says, "Blessed are the peacemakers", or as St. Paul writes, "as far as it up to you, live peaceably with all", and as St. Justin Martyr said, Christians should be a people who have beaten their swords into plowshares.

The Christian ought not to call for war, but for peace. And to pray for peace, to strive for peace, and to live peaceably as much as is possible.

No war with Iran, and no returning to Obama's crap deal with them.

I wonder what you actually know about the deal other than the fact that it was negotiated under Obama, therefore it must be bad.

We paid them over a hundred billion dollars without getting all of our prisoners back.
We allowed them to use advanced centrifuges after only 10 years.

You mean that you repaid them the money you swindled them out of.

They had it coming.
Yeah, they dissed us. They never showed proper appreciation for the bloodthirsty tyrant we so graciously imposed on them after taking away their freely elected democratic government.

That's exactly what Trump supports.
But, if Iran starts it --
we will have to oblige.

And throughout America's history, it has been very successful in creating situations where someone else 'starts it' so we can have a war.

Look at the war in Iraq. Iraq 'started' it by possessing 'weapons of mass destruction' that we gave them back when they were our 'friend'.

And now we are hoping Iran won't just quietly starve to death from the sanctions we put on them. We really want them to 'start it' so we will look good in the eyes of the world. Unfortunately, we are more and more looking like the monster instead of the hero in the eyes of the world.

They elected a socialist, so they had it coming.

You have no problem with the USA pulling out of the JCPOA and reinstating economic sanctions, while still insisting that Iran live up to their end of the agreement?

You need SOME reason for war, no matter how obviously fabricated.

Even the winter war started with "a finish artillery barrage on a russian border village".

Have you taken the world's pulse lately?
Appears not.
