Iv been wondering about this for a minutes now is there any way i can stop Lustful / sexual thoughts completely? i haven't had any lustful thoughts in the past 2 weeks but today had one again is there anyway?
The body has thoughts of it's own. When you have the thoughts, confess the sin(s) trusting God forgives and move on with the day.

Yes put simply:

1 Corinthians 6: NASB
18Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. 19Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

At 19 it'll be difficult; test levels are at their absolute peak, and will be now for the next few years. I wasn't a Christian when I was your age - I couldn't possibly imagine a life of abstinence back then.

Now that I'm approaching 30, it's my dreams and ambitions that consume most of my thoughts. Energy transfer is so much easier once things settle down a bit hormonally. I can literally transfer sexual energy into mental energy without any real hassle.

@Jags , you should stop conflating your sex drive with lust.* Many posters, here, have given you practical advice on the latter, but your sex drive is a healthy, God-given state. It is what it is.

There are only two ways to deal with it,
  1. Short term: relieve yourself once in a while;
  2. Long term: get married.
*That is like conflating hunger with the urge to steal. No one faults you for being hungry.

3. Avoid stimulators when possible. That is; Pray to God to help you and in the same time do your part by avoiding stimulators. (stimulators: inappropriate content, games/music/movies with sexually inappropriate content..etc)

It's not focusing on getting rid of lustful thoughts, but about filling your house with different furniture.

There are a few different ways that thoughts occur. 1) We initiate a thought, and think it through. 2) A thought seems to be injected into our mind, we don't initiate this.

In the first case, it is our responsibility to monitor what we begin to think about. The second case, an injected thought, often is seeded by Satan. Satan's workers are every where, and often try to get us thinking in ways that will lead us to sin. In this second case the bible tells us "resist the devil and he will flee from you", and "take captive every thought to the obedience of Christ". The bible shows us that we will have bad thoughts from time to time, it is how we deal with them that counts. We need to as the bible says "resist" the thought, to push it from our mind, to take it captive. Note when dealing with the devil you need not, jump up and down, you don't need to tell him to get lost, you just force the thought out, and move on with your day. Don't stress over the thought.

The universal problem of all men! I’ve prayed about many times this too. Unfortunately God seems to reply that he has made me a man and an essential part of being a man is his sex drive and desire for women, and he won’t take away this part of my essential maleness. God isn’t going to neuter you!

Equally an essential part of being a woman is being attractive (implies an attracting force) to men. Modern female clothes fashion doesn’t help but I don’t thing God wants women to wear burkas.

Marriage helps but isn’t the complete solution either. Other women remain attractive, especially as our wives get older.

Relieving oneself by masturbation helps, and I don’t think that’s wrong because some of our lust is driven simply by the chemical build up of hormones and sperm which drops after masturbation. Question is, which is the lesser evil - the burning with lust, or masturbating for temporary relief?

After five decades of living with lustful thoughts my best advice is the old saying “you can’t stop the birds flying over your head but you can stop them building a nest there.” In other words don’t dwell on those lustful thoughts. Don’t feed them by deliberate thinking about them or deliberately ogling women. Don’t fuel them with for example inappropriate content.

I'm going to give my usual answer: You can't will yourself to not think about something. The best you can do is think of other things more useful, and when the thoughts do happen, do your best to not feel guilty. Trying to obliterate thoughts leads you to focus on yourself, and when it doesn't work you get more and more introspective. Christians are supposed to think of Christ and our neighbors.

See the book, by a Christian author, Every Man's Battle. Legions have been helped by it. Also, as for masturbation being the answer, we are told that even looking at a woman lustfully (and I'm sure that is true for mental looking too) is sin. You can't really touch without having some sinful thoughts. Besides, do you really think the Lord wants you doing that with your sexual organs? They were designed for marriage, for a real woman, your wife if you have one.

To say that masturbation is the answer is to sell the Lord woefully short. He is more than capable of helping you deal with your lust. Turn it over to Him.

This is patently untrue. People can and do discover masturbation prior to puberty and its accompanying desire for the opposite sex.

We are not talking about children, but adults. So, do you really think the Lord wants you masturbating and thinks that it's not sexually impure? Do you really think He doesn't have a way for people to escape lust without that, through turning it all over to Him? Rhetorical questions.

Simpler. It just means/shows that lust is not intrinsic to masturbation. I limit the discussion of my own practices on the basis of modesty, not shame.
