What poor treatment and how is it any different from the exact same thing the previous administration did. Except now we are not putting children in dog pens.

I agree. At the very least, using that kind of language gives them an out from focusing on the real problem. The inhumane treatment of the people interned in these camps. We only get bogged down in a game of semantics and meanwhile, the mistreatment of these people continues.

We're treating children like inmates at a particularly bad prison. Conditions lacking in food, water and sanitation.

Don't you find it amazing that illegals have it better in these camps than some of our own citizens do in the big cities of this country, for some reason that isn't widely mentioned I guess that would have a tendency to ruin the "popular rhetoric" wouldn't it!

No, I don't find it amazing that imprisoned children have it better than a homeless person sleeping on the street.

I find it amazing that anyone would use that as a base standard to start from.

Tbh I don't think it's just ignorance about what a concentration camp actually is & how it's not just referring to the Nazi concentration camp that is the issue. There are people who've invested their lives into defending Trump nonstop. What he does has become a part of their own identity. So I think maybe it's a defense mechanism to just twist around what AOC & care more about semantics than the cruelties of what the Trump administration has done.

They're too emotionally invested in Trump so any criticism of him is taken as a direct attack on them.

Obviously some people go overboard and not every criticism of him is going to be valid but it's even less likely that Trump is so perfect a president that none of the criticism against him is valid and that's where his supporters lose their credibility.
