Teacher traumatizes 6-year-old by telling her ‘there is no such thing as boys and girls’

OTTAWA, June 19, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) — The parents of a six-year-old girl who was upset after her teacher told her class “there is no such thing as boys and girls” have filed a human rights complaint against the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, alleging the teacher discriminated by creating a “poisoned environment.”

The child’s mother, Pamela Buffone, told Barbara Kay in a story published in the Post Millennial that her daughter became increasingly distressed after her teacher showed the class a video “He, She and They?!? — Gender: Queer Kid Stuff #2” to her six-year-old students in January 2018.

The video states that “some people aren’t boys or girls,” and that there are people who do not “feel like a ‘she’ or a ‘he,’” Kay reported.

Buffone said her daughter told her the teacher, whom Kay refers to as JB, continued to teach gender ideology throughout the semester, telling her students “there is no such thing as girls and boys,” and “girls are not real and boys are not real.”

As a result, her daughter became more and more worried and upset, repeatedly asking why being a girl was “not real” and telling her parents she wanted to go to a doctor, Buffone said.

Buffone then met the teacher in March, who appeared “committed to the teaching of gender fluidity” and told her mother that gender ideology was part of the school’s policy, Kay wrote.

I cannot take anything seriously since I imagine Zoiberg's voice while reading.
You like the avatar of a lobster who is Jewish looking at his plate of crab? :)

Ah, Canada. Only a few years ahead of the USA in societal devolution. The best thing that mother can do is to flee from Canada to a country that does not have an extradition treaty with Canada.

Yes we now have state approved gas lighting of 1st graders and kindergartners. The state is helping to raise a whole generation that will need to seek therapy. I wonder if those people will ever be able to sew for damages.

Not until after a successful (but hopefully peaceful) revolution. The Emperor has no clothes. He's silly looking but everyone is afraid to say a thing to upset him/her/it.

The interesting thing is that lesbians, gays, and transsexuals don't believe in gender fluidity.

Said one transsexual, "I would not have spent thousands of dollars on surgeries and treatments if all I had to do was change my clothes."

OK I just thought of something. If gender "isn't real", how is Canada going to do sex ed? Because certain people can get pregnant while others cannot.... :)

I would think this group would say "when your fluidity is male-female you can get pregnant." LOL

Did the teacher say “some people aren’t boys or girls,” and that there are people who do not “feel like a ‘she’ or a ‘he,’” or there is no such thing as boys and girls? They're not the same thing.

That's not an answer. There are lots of differences among people, including kids. It's worth talking about them. Schools often try to help kids respect other religions, races, people with disabilities, etc. Transgenders are less than 1%, but there's still enough that kids are likely to run into them.

I know some Christians live in a world where some of these differences are considered evil, but public schools should be part of the real world, where we're committed to respecting each other. (So should followers of Jesus.)

ANY body can get pregnant. All they have to do is say they are pregnant. Who would DARE argue against them?

Yeah... "gender theorists" sometimes treat people as abstractions in that way.

At any rate, young children do not have the cognitive faculties to understand how gender is socially constructed. Most adults don't either. Save that for a university course, not kindergarten. Kids need to learn respect for others that are different from them, but that is best taught in age appropriate ways.
