No. Once you kill yourself, there is no going back. Suicide is a sin. Bible says to take care of your temple (body). To not commit murder. God says (paraphrasing here) to "Finish the race".

Now is that fair? Well from a human perspective no. But its Gods rules. I always said if God was ok with us killing ourselves, then we all could right now do it and go to heaven. We would have no reason to stay alive. And having "faith" would be pointless since we have a guarantee.

It would be a bad idea. We are here to do God's will. At best, killing yourself cuts off your opportunities for doing his will. That's less treasure in Heaven that you can earn. Do you want to be a good and faithful servant, or a wicked, lazy servant?

It's easy for others to tell that suicide is bad when life has been mostly good and easy for you. Not much dramas.

Remember that Jesus under exceptional cases will allow breaking some of the rules.

There are cases that Laws can be overruled. Jesus demonstrated this in the Sabbath. Killing in self defense and during war is also justified.

Not every suicide dooms a soul. A person may have poor luck and the Christians around them are unwilling to help. Too lazy, too cold/indifferent, to act. All they can do is offer prayer but no action - against Biblical teaching to offer real help (with action, not just with prayers) to brothers and sisters in desperate need..

You can imagine the hypocrisy.... Who do you think Christ will have mercy upon in this case? If you really know who the Christ is?

Isn't suicide murder- self murder? Doesn't the Bible prohibit murder in the 10 commandment and also in the teachings of Jesus Christ? So being baptised won't help in this case. Someone replied here that those who have it easy in this life are the ones who are against suicide. I didn't have an easy life and many times wished to die but didn't do it because I could end up in hell after that. So don't let anyone justify suicide to you. You could be eternally sorry for that.

Adam was told not to eat the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden and if he did he would die. Adam went ahead and did it anyway; he knew the result would be death yet he still brought death upon himself. What did God do about this and how can this be related to suicide? or is suicide too big for grace to cover?

Keeping the Sabbath is also a part of the 10 commands, so is not lying. Do you keep the Sabbath according to the law? Have you ever lied? When are sins too great that grace can no longer cover them?

You are not saved by baptism. Jesus + Nothing = Salvation.

If someone who is truly saved by the blood of the Lamb commits suicide, God did not call him/her home, but He welcomes him/her.

If people go to hell for murder then Moses is in hell and Saint Paul is certainly in hell right along side Judas. However the blood of Jesus covers all sin for those who believe it. So if a believer comes under such attack that he/she wants to end this life or is prone to depression and hasn't yet figured out how to get victory over that beast, then that believer may feel that the pressures of this life are just too much to handle and take his or her own life.
The point is that the person is still a believer, a believer in Christ and the work of cross and the power of the blood, which covers all sin.

It is true that if we commit suicide as christians we have a guarantee of heaven, but Jesus would never lead us to do that. As christians we have a responsibility to be Christ to those around us. If christians suicided who would preach the gospel for how would they hear without a preacher.

I have known the Lord since 1977 and I have been in full-time Ministry since 1994 studied the Word backwards and forwards and I can assure you that unlike what many Christians believe suicide is not the unpardonable sin and only the unpardonable sin is a sin for which a person cannot be forgiven. How does that apply? It applies because many people believe that suicide is an automatic ticket to hell, when it is not. We are not God, we have no idea what goes through a person's mind in that split-second or those hours between when they took that act to take their life and when their life actually ended. A person could pull a trigger and before they can even finish the act of pulling it have deep sorrow and regret for what they have done and God sees that. There is no one on the planet alive who can tell us whether or not a person who committed suicide regretted it before they died. It is highly probable that many, many people between the act of doing what ended their life and their life actually ending, many of them who regretted the choice that they made but it was too late to undo the consequences, meaning they died.

So I just love it when you have all of these immature know-it-alls that think they understand every aspect of a situation... I wonder if they ever thought of that.

No, I don't keep the Sabbath according to the law and I am not always 100% truthful. So yeah, I might be guilty of that when I stand before the judgement seat of God. But nowadays everything is about "hyper grace"- you can go and do anything you want and Jesus will forgive you because He died for your sins!

But suicide is the exception to grace?

but Jesus would never lead us to do that.

The indifference and coldness of Christians in helping brothers and sisters in desperate need helps to make them lose hope.

Let's not judge until we find ourselves in their shoes and are we really sure, we won't be held accountable for indifference / coldness towards our brothers and sisters in need?

Our prayers are not enough.... The Bible clearly says, help comes through actions, sharing resources, etc..

There is no aspect of our condition that isn't sinful. At no point, in no single moment, is anyone worthy of heaven.
Some will say if you are truly saved you wouldn't do this. I don't know, maybe that's true.
Some are legalistic and say that you have to repent to be saved and since you can't repent because you murdered yourself, you go to Hell. I don't think that is true.

No work can earn salvation. No person can earn salvation. It is a free gift that one must freely receive. One can backslide, one can fall away in failure. But if you believe that there is no sin that can separate you from the love of God then you know the answer to this question.

I hope that I can go to heaven sooner, rather than later. But I'm amazed that it is so horrible, to not want to suffer in this miserable life anymore, and I'll be punished for wanting to skip pain and misery.

I just find that odd.
