It’s reasonable to fire 55 times into a sleeping African American!

Is there an official report stating that 55 rounds were fired in 3.5 seconds?

Wiki page doesn't mention it. It also mentions he had a gun on his lap was was previously arrested for kidnapping and human trafficking.
Without a magazine in it, as stated by the police before the shooting. No effort was made to identify themselves they shot him 55 times.

A loaded gun is still loaded even if you eject the magazine. Was there any official statement about the number of rounds fired.

Yep, with one bullet possibly.

So if police see the gun in the lap of someone sleeping they are allowed to put 55 bullets in them?

1 bullet is sufficient to kill 1 person. Not haveing the magazine fully in decreases the amount of harm one can do, but it doesn't lower it below fatal. A simple tap can click the mag back in making it fully loaded.

Is there an official report on the rounds fired? The guardian makes it a bit unclear.

"Without an official report on the number of rounds, McCoy’s loved ones had previously been forced to rely on their own estimations after viewing his body, which was riddled with bullets in his face, chest, throat, arms and elsewhere, making him unrecognizable."

In any case that is 9 bullets each, from reaction fire of the first round, some of which would be blind fire into a person who is clearly on something. If a person is on certain drugs they can take multiple shots to stop them from firing. When a gun appears to be drawn the response isn't just lethal force, bit immediate lethal force.

"Officials disclosed the extraordinary number of rounds in a report released this week" from the article.

How's he police is supposed to know there's only one bullet and no magazine in the gun. And was he really a sleep. People that hate cops tend to lie.
They police before the shooting are recorded saying the magazine was not in the gun. So one bullet is the assumption.

If a person is on certain drugs they can take multiple shots to stop them from firing. When a gun appears to be drawn by someone on drugs the response isn't just lethal force, but immediate lethal force. You have seconds to overwhelm the body to prevent them from firing. Police face danger everyday, they run a fine line in not underestimating a situation.

When a black man is present, beware of his superhuman ability to be asleep. Sleeping is just another trick they use to shoot police, so it's better to shoot first, then ask questions later. But if they'll let the murder of Tamir Rice and Aiyana Stanley-Jones slide, they will definitely have no problem killing and adult black male.

Is it being a sleep in the recording too. Because all I see is trash, that we don't have to deal with. With the humane smuggling and stuff .

So, cops walk up to a car, see a black man asleep, and for no other reason than he was black, decided to open fire on him while he was sleeping. And just to rub it in, they all recorded it on their body cams. Got it.
Ahhhh..... the "So" Law.

Because that is EXACTLY what is being argued.

Gotta love how people try to sneak in previous arrests to justify a shooting. If Jeffrey Dahmer was sleeping in a car after having eaten 12 people, that still would not justify a police officer firing 55 rounds into him.

If one is justified in shooting, one is justified in shooting. 55 bullets seems pretty excessive, but that's besides the point.

One guy sleeping in car. One Bullet: Must need to die.

One guy with weapon actively threatenning police: let's take a minute and talk him down.

I'm not willing to say this is a race issue but it seems to be a terribly police issu.e

Whites are never shot by police?
