Does anybody know anything about tablets?

Okay so I bought my very first tablet from Amazon. It is a Samsung Galaxy s5e. Now it comes default with 128 GB of space but I notice that I'm filling it rather quickly with apps. I heard you can expand it with a 512 GB micro SD card. What is that and where can I buy one? And where exactly do I put that in? I'm sorry if these are stupid questions but I know absolutely nothing about tablets. Any help is appreciated.

Not stupid at all, none of us knew that until we knew that.

You'll have a micro sd slot. Look around the thin edge and see if you see an open slot under an inch wide, or, it may be closed off but the door to it will be visible.

Search Micro SD card in amazon and be sure to get a fast one, as you may have very high definition video capabilities on that tablet that will require a high speed SD. if you need help finding one, let us know

The status quo tablets (Samsung, LG etc) are privacy nightmares and they are all part of planned obsolescence. Apple is a little bit better but still they are the same.

The quick start guide shows you where to find the slot. You need to use the "tray removal tool" (e.g. a paperclip) to open it.

You can buy a microSD card almost anywhere at different sizes. The look like this:

I believe you will then need to go into your settings and find apps there. Then they can be moved to the SD card. Also, you can set photos to save to the card rather than internal memory. I haven't had a tablet for years, but this should all be correct.

Okay thank you. I found the slot in the quick start guide like you mentioned. So any 512gb card will work? As long as its 512gbs? They seem to be pretty expensive on Amazon though. Like a fourth of what a brand new s5e tablet costs.

Maybe I'll just fill the 128gbs that came with the tablet. That's still a lot of pictures and apps right? Because I've only filled about 2gbs so far and I have 15 apps including the 2 bible apps that I wanted and spotify which is pretty big.

No, not necessarily, I mention why in my first reply, but still a there is a good change a card of that size is going to be high speed enough. Also one of that size is going to still be very expensive, but you could get say as 128gb for a little better than $20

Yeah that's true I've only filled about 5% of the tablet so far. So I have plenty of room for photos and apps. I just figured that I might need more space for photos perhaps. But maybe I could just delete unnecessary apps for extra space. Because if I just stuck apps on it I would have apps for days. I'll figure it out anyway.

128GB is a lot of storage for a tablet.
