Would the world be a better place if everyone accepted evolution and rejected special creation? Does belief in creation translate to a better, or worse, society? If beneficial shouldn't it be acknowledged by all as a valuable viewpoint? If detrimental what should we do about it?

Answers are going to split based on whether one accepts creationism or not. A better question might be what differences in world view are driven by these 2 different positions.

I think they can drive different views about the sanctity of life, the purpose of religion, and the nature of God.

Isn't evolution a sort of creationism also? Created by nature (through essentially trial and error), rather than God (through intent and Divine wisdom)?

In any case, importance will be placed on the qualities particularly understood as stemming from the creation. On one hand, biological processes (eating, sleeping, reproducing) and evolutionary advantages over other species (intelligence, using tools, etc.). On the other hand, the image and likeness of God, God's express desire for peoples mode of living, God's purpose for the creation.

Which would be more "beneficial" for society will depend on what one views as the ultimate good. If the ultimate good is material prosperity, the former would be a more direct route to achieving it. If the ultimate good is to conform each person to the will of God, the latter would be a more direct route.

If we assume Creation to be the truth, who decides if the world would be a better place by hiding the truth?

The creation isn't hidden.

Truth is the best environment for life. evolution is not true so life would not be better.

Would the justice system not be better if it operated on truth (which it can not being that it is a man maintained system) and every ruling, sentence, punishment, etc..
that was given out was 100% truthful.

Belief in creation translates into a better society. Just imagine if everyone understood we are made in Gods image and likeness. Is that not a valuable viewpoint?

Problem is, we fell.

With evolution the material universe is all that exist. There is no such thing as a soul or spirit. Everything can be explained by natural laws. Man become a chance product of descent with modification. Truth can only be understood by what our 5 sense discover and proven scientifically. The values of evolution are derived by individual or society.

With creation an infinite and personal God exist. Reality is both spiritual and material. mankind is made in Gods image and likeness. This means we are personal, spiritual, biological and eternal. Truth about God is now through revelation. Truth about the world is also know via revelation as well as what we can learn from out 5 senses.Morals values are an expression of an absolute moral being.

One's views on how the universe came into existence are irrelevant to one's actual life. I see nothing about creationism or Darwin's theory that affect me in any real way. Recognizing the truth is a good thing but knowing the truth about something so inconsequential to our lives is of little importance when there are so many falsehoods being promulgated that do affect our lives in very negative ways.

How so? It is still a theory on how life came to be, but an impersonal process as creator rather than an intentional being.

The presence or absence of intent is an important distinction between the two. If one is going to ignore the differences between words, one could claim apple and orange are the same thing because they're both fruit. Further, evolution is not a theory of "how life came to be" in the sense of identifying the origin of life. In science that is called "abiogenesis".

It would be interesting to survey people to see if there is a correlation between social views and creation views.

That would probably lead to a correlation/causation fallacy, as other factors probably influence both.

For instance, there is some overlap between creationism and belief in conspiracy theories, but it is hypothesized that both rest on teleological thinking.

I never claimed it would prove causation. If others make that conclusion, that's their problem.

You may not want to turn over that rock.

I think I do. I think it would be fascinating.

I do not think we as a society embrace evolution fully. Like evolutionary behavioral scientist Gad Saad says, many people who believe in evolution tend to only apply it to the neck down regrading humans.
