Respectfully, the problem for me with the Op is you specifically portray the unbeliever as seeing Jesus at the throne at the time of judgment and then confessing Jesus as Lord. Where in the Op is praying for these people of any significant value when they are portrayed as confessing Jesus as Lord? Are you praying for someone that God would make them confess?

Another issue to address is when is it inappropriate to ask God for mercy, as if He doesn't know better than us? That's always a question I struggle with.
I was imagining a sinner who sees God face to face, and is faced with the reality of God and the reality of their own sin. They will most likely get on their knees and beg mercy, unless im wrong, and i could be. Will they get mercy? I hope so. Is that wrong? I hope not. But if so i wait for the Lord to show me.

If no one is righteous and all needing saved, is it possible for an unbeliever to see Christ at the throne at judgment time and bend his knee and confess Jesus as Lord? Could that save him? Am i overstepping my bounds by asking this question?

Unfortunately there is no repentance after death. if you look at all of the parables of Jesus which reference the second coming you will notice that by the time he comes back it has already been determined what everyone's fate is. Revelation 22:12 says that Jesus is coming back to give rewards. In 1 Thess 4:16 when Jesus comes back the dead in Christ will rise and those alive in Christ will join them in the air. This means a judgement has already taken place to determine who will be saved and who will be lost before this return.

The bible really does not say this, that is how you interpret the verse.
Here's the scripture. What is your interpretation?

18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

I don't think it's ever wrong to be honest and speak honestly.

If it has been a person's nature to refuse Jesus, now, that same nature will be in the person on the Day of Judgment, producing the same result.

I notice how that rich man in hell was mainly concerned about himself and his brothers. He did not listen to Abraham, but challenged him.

Jesus says, "if you love those who love you, what reward have you?" in Matthew 5:46.

That man, even seeing Abraham, was still about loving his favorites.

Satan has been right in the presence of Jesus, but he has not been grateful to be with Jesus. Instead, he has been accusing people, and trying to change Jesus to what Satan wants.

So, now is the time to trust in Christ > Ephesians 1:12 > and seek our Father to change our nature to be like Him and His love > Hebrews 12:4-14 > 1 John 4:17. Our assurance "in the day of judgment" is how now our nature is being changed so that in His love > "as He is, so are we in this world." So, if someone has not obeyed this, the person does not have assurance for the day of judgment.

Should i therefore love unbelievers?

You can certainly pray for God to be merciful to anyone and everyone, but there is nothing in Scripture that suggests that any of us get a second chance after death. Since that was your question, I have to say "No" to it.

which brings up my earlier unanswered question to you. Can Lucifer get on his knees and beg mercy? Will Lucifer get it? Why or why not?

The Spirit of God through Noah preached about God and the punishment that was coming. They had been tried and convicted, as those in prison, but still God in His mercy waited 120 yrs. for them to change their minds and be reconciled to Him. But only Noah and his family believed and were saved.

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Are you uncertain about this? Uncertain about praying for unbelievers? Yes, you can and should pray for them, love them, do what you can to mediate for them.

There is no second chance to do things differently after death.

But we puny, non-omnipresent, non-omniscient humans do not know and cannot calculate all the pre-death factors unique to each person that God uses in His judgment.

Jesus said to love our enemies. So yes pray for them to be in God's will.

He loves pride more than humility? Do fallen angels even have emotions? What of the sinner though, will he get on his knees?

I believe in praying for mercy for every human ever born. Im unsure if this is biblical though.

The issue you are touching upon there is about a change of heart--one that supposedly comes to the sinner upon meeting Jesus in the afterlife. But that presumes that he changes his character under duress. There is no reason to assume such a thing.

How would he change his character? Isnt mercy part of his character?
