Since the OP won’t explain it, can anyone else explain how the Ezekiel passage relates to the OP topic?
Comparing a religious group/idea/theology/whatever to an individual person? Riiiiight. There are plenty of cessationalists here to defend themselves all they want... happens all the time. They "defend" themselves all the time without using Benny or any other public figures travel habits to do so.In other words we are here to bash Cessationalists and not allow them to defend themselves. Ok, i'll be moving on now
I could have just as easily ask where the faith healers are instead of Benny. Would you still disagree? Are you going to argue even then? Are we only bashing Cessationalists and shouting them down? Fine you win.Comparing a religious group/idea/theology/whatever to an individual person? Riiiiight. It has long past the point where I should follow my own signature.
You still haven’t answered the question. Where does Ezekiel say cessationism is evil?Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. - Romans 14:1
Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. - Romans 14:22-23You still haven’t answered the question. The Charismatic gifts came only through the two outpourings or through an apostle's hands. Scripture mentions no other way. So this is one of many reasons why today's tongues and claims to the gifts are fraudulent.
But tongues shall cease...........Behold! The promise is to them that believe! And no to some select few!
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. - Mark 16
Have you questioned the history saying tongues are of voodoo origin incorporated into Wesley Methodism at Azusa Street? Scares me................How to bring back a move of God....
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. - 2 Chronicles 7:14-15
You don't sit there behind closed doors talking about how God has ceased to operate in the day and time.
Thats not the sin. The sin is going against your conscience. Also seeing how you are quoting Romans 14, how does your thread title obey this part?Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. - Romans 14:22-23
The sin here is the disbelief that God is operating in this world.
But tongues shall cease...........
They knew in part until scripture thoroughly furnished them. And knowledge will equally vanish away.... Which also had not happened yet!
What does that have to do with cessationism?Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. - Romans 14:22-23

That passage was strictly for Israel. Context, context, context. How to bring back a move of God....
