Not buying it. Just because you and your ilk say it over and over doesn't make it true.

Wish folks would apply that exact mentality when Donald & his ilk say things over and over again that are not true, expecting that with each iteration of the mistruth it will somehow become true. It doesn't work that way. Yet folks buy that up in bulk.

It's the data that matters here, the facts, but a lot of folks just don't give a diddly dang about reality when it contradicts the reality star Trump.

Decent Americans care about all Americans, not just the ones in their tribe. Folks who voted for Trump & are not "Trump haters" have been badly hurt by his foolish trade policies. Now you as an old fellow made not personally have been, but that doesn't mean fellow Americans haven't been. Some Christians care genuinely about what happens to others besides themselves.
I don't know one real life person who has been hurt lol just loud groups on the internet

Price increases averaging $2200 for a typical family are significant for most people.

Farmers will be especially hurt, perhaps bankrupted.

I will be hurt less than most, I suppose. If the cost of living goes up 10%, so will our Social Security and my husband's VA comp.

Most jobs don't have cost-of-living protection. And if Americans are tightening their belts, workers could even lose jobs.

Unstudied impulsivity is not good for decision making.

Today he enacted tariffs against Mexico for not stopping Central Americans from traveling to the U.S.
The tariffs are to go into effect on June 10 unless there is some progress made.

Tell me, how will it discourage immigrants from applying for asylum if Trump takes action that will increase Mexican poverty and unemployment?

It will discourage them from that if they are apprehended by the Mexican authorities, granted asylum in Mexico, or prevented from having open and easy transport to the US border--all of which Mexico can do, at least to some extent, if she wishes.

By the way, it really helps to keep up with the news before taking to the keyboard.

You don't live in NY, where state tax deductions are limited to $10,000 and where property taxes alone are $10K on a 1200sf home on a small lot.

They list their personal exemptions, are cheated out of itemizing, are behind the 8 ball.

Trump, in his pettiness, "punishes" east and west coasters for seeing him as he really is, in his narcissism, vindictiveness, and ignorance.

Maybe if the irresponsible government of NY had not thought it could pass the costs of that states government along to the taxpayers in other states which adhere to more responsible spending policies, New Yorkers would not find themselves unable now to deduct expenses that people in those other states did not have in the first place. These chickens have come home to roost, and it is simple justice that it has finally happened (take note all SJWs).

Now you didn't do your homework. There are donor states (that send more in taxes than they receive back) and recipient states. The coastal states are pretty much carrying the rest of the country, especially the South.

If California ever seceded and places like Alabama had to pull their own freight, they would collapse u nder the burden.

Instead of asking that SJWs take note maybe you ought to actually take note of the facts. The states that are the most reliant on federal aid are Mississippi, Louisiana, NM, Arizona, and Kentucky. Farmers in those states are hurt even more by Donald's asinine tariff nonsense.

Maybe you could afford buying more things if there weren't any price increases at the dollar tree.

No, I think that I will stay with the point under discussion. If someone wants to start another thread in order to talk about farmers and tariffs, that's fine.

And the point under discussion is that you are misinformed and that coastal states pay significantly more than their fair share of taxes to support this nation.
Keep working at it and maybe the change of subject can be made to look like it was really on-topic after all. :p

How many times has it been now that the Stock Market has crashed for good, owing to something Trump did that simply ruined the economy? I think its about three.
The economy would be better off without these mini-crashes which were unnecessary.

The market recovered in short order and went higher still each time.
No, that is contrary to fact. The market hit its peak last September and is currently quite a bit below that now for no good reason (Donald's trade war is a bad reason).

Maybe if the irresponsible government of NY had not thought it could pass the costs of that states government along to the taxpayers in other states which adhere to more responsible spending policies, New Yorkers would not find themselves unable now to deduct expenses that people in those other states did not have in the first place. The idea is that people shouldn't have to pay taxes on money used to pay taxes.

I cannot say that anyone likes them. No. But the point there was that when they have occurred, the usual naysayers immediately proclaimed that something akin to the next Great Depression was upon us...because of Trump, you know. WELL, it failed to happen. Not the first time they said the sky was falling, and not in any of the subsequent times, either.

Fantastic! Keep it up President Trump! I dont really buy much cheap junk at dollar tree anyways. Now China has threatened Canada not to join the trade war, seems like China is not a country you want to do business with and they are showing their true colors.

Great Job!

Like Saudi Arabia? The majority of people behind 9/11? The country bombing civilians? The country sponsoring terrorism worldwide? The country funding mosques as a platform to radicalise around the world? The country that murdered and dismembered a journalist in an embassy?

Yeah, they're one of your closest allies apparently. Trump is driven by money, not morality. Let's not pretend otherwise. He's just too stubborn to admit he was wrong and he's committed to this fiasco now.

The musical chairs game going on in Parliament isn't putting Brits in a very good position to be taking potshots at the USA right now.

You'd be correct if I were asserting that our system was better. The UK government is still in cahoots with the Saudis as well which I also disagree with.

Just making the objective observation that nothing Trump has done is based on morality, just personal gain or the gain of those close to him. The only Americans he cares about are those that serve his interests and his buddies.
