North Korea executes 5 officials over failed Kim-Trump summit: South Korean media

Kim Hyok Chol, North Korea's special envoy to the U.S., was executed by firing squad in March for being "won over by the American imperialists to betray the supreme leader", according to the Chosun Ilbo.
The paper also claimed that four other North Korean Foreign Ministry officials were executed that same month because of the breakdown of the February summit in Hanoi, Vietnam, but did not provide details.

This has only been reported by a single sk newspaper with no corroborating evidence, 2 months after the fact. Even the south korean spy service is confused by this and hasn't heard about it. I've read the story but that seems a bit too little evidence to get worked up about.

I have significantly higher standards for the President of the United States than North Korea’ Supreme Leader. It’s sad that it appears that you are okay with him as long as he just slightly better than ruthless dictator that has no qualms about starving his own people as long as it keeps him in power.

Let's keep in mind that Trump has publicly praised Kim Jong-un while also publicly shaming former US presidents and vice president, the intelligence community, an American federal judge, a former POW, he's called the Mueller team "some of the worst human beings on earth"....

Bob, I actually thought of you when I saw this on the news. Told my family about you, even. That this fellow gushed and thought it was just so dang cute that Donald Trump & Kim Jong-Un were having a "bromance." You acted all proud of it. I'll have to show this new thread on account of how it's just too unbelievable otherwise.

This is exactly why it's disgusting that Donald says he's exchanged "beautiful letters" & has a love relationship with a murdering, lunatic dictator. Donald has proven everybody who called him foolish for meeting with this psychopath again to be correct. Even if it turns out to not be true the fact that it's totally within his character to have folks murdered, that we know he has ordered that his own blood be murdered, makes him a person where it's not cute to have a "bromance" with. Diplomatic efforts could have been tried without Donald puckering up his lips to this tyrant.
