In Joshua 10, we find this. The children of Israel have finally entered the land of promise after decades of wandering, fearful of facing what will have to be faced if they enter the land God had promised them.

First up, Jericho. And the walls came tumbling down. Then, after stumbling a bit with overconfidence as they dispatched with Ai, the people of Gibeon, a people strong and mighty, made peace with Israel... smart move.

But rhete were five kings occupying the promised land that were none to happy with Gibeon and dispatched their armies to teach them a lesson about who was boss. The people of Gibeon sent messengers to Joshua, pleading for help, for they greatly feared the wrath of these five great and mighty kings. Joshua and the army of Israel wasted no time and immediately set off to intercept five major obstacles in taking the land as their own. They would not let the Gibeonites suffer at the hands of these evil kings.

The Israelites routed all five armies, but Joshua instructed them to not kill the five feared kings, whom they found hiding in a cave. They brought the kings out and Joshua placed his foot on their necks. He then asked the captains of his people and of the Gibeonites to come and do likewise.

Remember, these were the five kings the Israelites had previously cowered in fear over, causing them to return to the wilderness until all unbelief died off. I suspect they doubted Joshua. To put their feet on the neck of the kings they had once been terrified of was to say that the slave was free from the oppression of the evil masters. But they did so, despite their previous fears, and rhat day, they knew the land would truly become theirs. Their enemy had not only been defeated, but thoroughly humiliated.

Cool story, huh? Well, guess what, army of God. It is time for our feet to go on the neck of satan. No more fear. No more compromise. He is powerless, for his lies are being stripped away. Greater is He that is in you... in me.... in US..... than He who is in the world.

We will no longer fear the one who may be able to kill our bodies, but has no power over our spirits. Christ is in us, not just WITH us. It is time we lifted our feet onto Satan's neck and made our declaration of independence from his tryanny empowered by lies.

We who are His ARE new creatures and satan has zero power over us. We are told thwt we owe him and our flesh NOTHING. It is time we finally believed it. ☺️

blessings,

Gideon

Its what every Christian has always believed. Satan is powerless when it comes to Christ. Powerless when we put our trust in God. Powerless when we believe in Jesus Christ.

Yes, satan may win many battles with us as we strive to be pure but i tell you one thing. He will never ever win the war!

Picking up our crosses is very much expected as we follow Jesus. I know what it is like. Its taken me quite some time to wade through the quicksand of evil to get to solid ground! Through the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ i can see light at the end of the tunnel.

Its all about FAITH, TRUST and BELIEVING in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

I will say this however. We have believed our Joshua.... Jesus.... has defeated, routed and thoroughly humiliated the enemy of our souls. But..... most have not believed it for for themselves. It is not enough for Him to do it.He asks us to lift our foot up and firmly, confidently. place it on satan's neck and say "No more". That day is finally arriving. Glory!

This is the key to our being transformed into overcomers. When we finally couple the powerful blood of the Lamb with OUR testimony as to who WE are, new creatures in Christ, we will discover that nothing can stop us from inheriting our Land of Promise... most importantly OURSELVES! ☺️

blessings,

When we become the army of believers who are active like the disciples around the world.. What a light of glory will outshine Satan's darkness.
The harvest is in sight. How ready our God is to 'cause us' to set free souls who have labored under the hard task master. The fields are white to harvest. People are tired of religion, and sadly, yes, even our Christian religion.... and all over the world, there are multitudes who hunger for life, life than only Jesus can offer. The battle lines are about to become crystal clear.

We are told that "the eyes of the Lord search to and fro over the whole world, seeking those on whose behalf He can show HIMSELF strong."

Praise God, we are about to see our God roll up His sleeves and do things for us and yes... through us.... that if our eyes did not see it, we would not believe it possible. The first drops of the latter rain are beginning to fall.

We are about to be joyfully amazed.

Blessings,

Gids

Where is your evidence for these claims? Personal revelations? If so, have not people been saying these same things for centuries?

LOL, I think you have posted this in the past, my dear friend.

If an unbiased observer looked at the direction of the world, with no religious leanings influencing his thoughts, I firmly believe that he would conclude we are in the death thralls of man's time on earth.

Our planet is groaning with what we have done it it and to God's creation on it.

Evil has reached a fever pitch. We hear and see things that we could not even conceive of fifty years ago. Our bushel basket brand of Christianity that we offer young people is losing the war with the pleasures that this world has to offer them.

Our well oiled Christian machine relentlessly cranks out offerings to those in the world, and unless religion is their thing, they want nothing to do with what we now are displaying of God to them. Ouch.

The population of the world is reaching critical mass, and by 2050 will reach 16 BILLION, should we last that long, even as resources are running out.

One would think that loneliness would be a thing of the past with all those people, but it. has only increased as we have become just little cogs in a big pointless wheel. Sadly, this is very apparent even in our churches.

Resources are running out, and science, whom we have trusted to get us our of our mess we have made, are the very ones making bigger messes.

The super rich are getting super richer and the middle class is being pushed down into upper lower class status.

And most importantly, the church, and yes, here I include both protestant and Catholic/Orthodox Christianity, have settled into a sea of lukewarm, passionless head belief in the truth but with hearts cold towards God and warm toward the things in this life, things about to be incinerated.

But beyond those obvious things, yes, God has in no uncertain terms told me our day is fast approaching. I am just a watchman on the wall, encouraging His people to believe the fullness of what Christ has done for them, and to warn them that the darkness on the horizon is on its way.

But I do not want any to simply take my word for it. Ask God, but do so with a single eye. A double minded man will be unable to discern the times.

I pray this helps.

Blessings, dear friend

Well told bible story.

I tend to forget some of what I read in the bible, and this story summed up as it was, was enjoyable to read.

Makes me wonder why Netflix or whoever doesn't do a series on the bible from start to finish. Seems to me, even to the non Christian, if done right, the bible has enough interesting stories in it to keep up with the demand such a series requires.

I could spend much more time

Thing is, all those thing you mentioned have been happening since time immorial.

Look how evil people were in ancient times! The Romans etc etc. The cruelty they dished out.

Through medieval times, the atrocities.

The religious wars.

Rich have always gotten richer and the poor have always gotten poorer. That is a fact. Nothing new there.

I dont see lukewarmness in my church. I see many people turning to God. Maybe it is different in America?

No disrespect to you my friend, but, we have many many people in the world, and on these forums that claim that God has told them this or that. So many 'end times' experts, as i have said before.

God has told you our day is fast approaching? How fast? When? Details?

Non fiction stories.
I knew you knew that. My pointvwas that even as believers, we often look at the people of God in the old testament and how God moved on them, and relegate them to 'Bible story' status, you know?

We do not think it can ever bee like that again. Boy, are we in for a wonderfully rude awakening! ☺️

Let me ask you a question. If Jesus was not to return for 500 years, should it affect in any way how we are to live?
Should we not be walking circumspectly, redeeming the time given to us, seeing that for each one of us, we are literally one heartbeat away from eternity?

Should we not be found running our race with single-eyed purpose that there is but one prize and we are determined to be the one to gain it?

Should we not keep watch with great diligence, for the enemy of our souls goeth about, seeking those he can devour?

Should our goal not be to shine with His presence as brightly as possible, walking in all the light we have, and pressing in for more?

What difference should it make? Yet, God indeed tells us that when we see all these things come about, to not let the enemy come and steal from us, amen?

The question is.... do we have ears to hear our God?

LOL. I suspect there is nothing I could say to convince any determined to think otherwise.

But when Walmarts allow men to follow little girls into the Women's bathroom because they feel "inwardly oriented to being a woman", it might be a hint we have crossed a line in the sand.

When one push of a button can start a world war that will poison our planet till all life curls up and dies, that is another clue we are in a different time zone.

When, in fifty years, the waters of the earth rise 6 feet and squeeze a doubling population onto a third less land mass, that too might be a hint.

But I personally like this one. Israel was not a nation... non -existent for over 1800 years, and yet in 1948, like a Phoenix resurrected from the ashes, came back as a nation.

Can a nation be born in one day? You betcha. ☺️

Look at the evils of the past. Humans have ALWAYS been inclined to dish out misery. The lewd actions of the ancients were indeed very evil too.

One cannot stop nature. Think back to the ice age for a start.

This is what i asked you:

God has told you our day is fast approaching? How fast? When? Details?

Any answers?

you can’t really recommend teaching that is based on a lie, manipulated for support and protection stemming from a lie, to say that is the way to defeat the father of lies :sigh:
search the scriptures and see if that be a lie :sigh:
truth is much more revealing that fiction :sigh:
remembering what one reads is extremely helpful to summarize what the bible story is saying to maintain a true perspective or else one is just living another lie based on lack of knowledge and/or desire to know’ the truth :sigh:
