Pete Buttigieg expressly says he's not interested in getting rid of things and events named for Jefferson and Jackson, but notes that the Democrats are trying to be sensitive towards racial issues going forward in naming events.

Then he makes a stunningly prescient comment that turns out to have been a prediction.

But this is a great example actually of how the media noise machine on the right wing takes things out of control.

Cue Fox and Friends the next morning.

Doocy - "Meanwhile 2020 hopeful Pete Buttigieg clarifying his comments after going after our founding fathers.
Chyron - "Erasing History?"

{edited soundbite segment}

Graphic - "Historical 'Friction'"
Kilmeade - "What a clown. Should we really be trying to erase our countries history? Would we even be a country without those men we're trying to erase?"

Samantha Bee shows the dishonest edit starting at 6 minutes into this segment.

I predict some will respond by attacking Bee and her editing rather than simply address what Mayor Pete actually said verses how the liars on Fox and Friends spun it

Buttigieg's main strength is, I believe, that he will bring in millenial voters, a huge demographic group that has not voted in large numbers.

They don't watch Fox News. They are almost universally liberal.

Fox and Friends watchers have, for the most part, already determined that a monogamous married gay man is far worse than a serial monagamist adulterer who consorts with inappropriate content stars and has half the gay candidate's IQ.
No harm done.

2016 president election, 54.5% of Millennial voters supported Clinton. Trump got 37%. Independent candidates the remaining 8.5%.

2018 midterms, 62% of voters under 39 voted Democrat.

Majority libera, yes. Almost universally, no.
