Since revelation indicates that the marriage doesn't happen until the new heaven and the new earth, and we're still in the old heaven and the old earth.

The idea of the "honeymoon is over" is not biblical, it's an excuse for traditions that don't trust God on a fundamental level and thus experience dry spells with the Holy Spirit.

I’ve never heard of ‘the honeymoon is over’ theology but it stands to biblical reasoning that there are those who wait (as in wise virgins) and those who don’t. Keeping the Holy Spirit as one’s companion in waiting would insure that the oil never ran out at least, but that also involves living in truthful reality ~spirit~ when tradition is just supplement to the fairy dust story ~old nature~. (sorry I’ve been talking with grandkids too long) (need adult stimulation lol)

Interesting connection to the 10 virgins.

Since the Holy Spirit is as the wind, then faith is like breathing is kind of how I look at it.

Yah, I did a post somewhere on the breath awhile ago. Something about one breath of God as being one day for us, the trees give oxygen at night then takes in carbo during the day, while we do repeatedly during the day in the opposite manner. I actually was talking to my granddaughter about that too ;) breath in the good, breath out the bad. But another story I guess.

The breath of life contained within ourselves is also contained in nature. As we breath in oxygen that's given off by the trees during the day, they reciprocate from us by breathing in the carbon at night. Each has the cycle of breathing in and breathing out.

Ezekiel 37:9
Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.”

Being connected to the earth in the cycle of breath, hearing the inflow and outflow of God’s breath, His breath breathing in the cycle of day and night on the earth, grounds us to the Heavenly Father in accordance to our Earth Mother.

New Jerusalem unfolding in every breath.( Galatians 4:26 ) Each day can seem like a thousand years when lived in the courts of praise. Healing comes. Every part of self out of sync with God is united.

Truly death and dryness has 'come to life’ because they have come to the life contained in God, to drink at the fount of living water, to live in the wilderness no longer. ( Song of Solomon 8:5 )

Can you expand on what you mean please.
In the beginning, the first believers actually had it good. The persecution bit came because they were getting too comfortable and would not evangelize beyond their comfort zone of where pentecost happened. In western society, the main persecution of faith comes from christians who reject the Holy Spirit and replace His guidance role with the bible.

Stephen was stoned, Peter imprisoned, Paul in chains, Roman persecution, sanctioned by Religious Jews was immediate and ongoing. Most of the twelve executed...

Dispersion yes... Not sure about the honeymoon...
That's because the marriage hasn't even happened yet.

What's happening today is similar to the later days when the Christian religion was protected by the Roman empire, however, we know that the empire fell.
