Absolutely I agree, He was speaking to His apostles but the message applies to all Christians. But the message is still the same that we must abide in Christ and it indicates that it is possible to fail to abide in Him.

Then it's possible to be snatched from Jesus' hand?

Haven't you seen all of the many NT verses
which teach us that salvation is a process?

This being true, how can one be permanently
justified ... before he is finally saved?
That is totally ridiculous!

Therefore, everything is a life-long process:
justification, sanctification, salvation.

Amen the scriptures speak of salvation sometimes as something we already have but also speaks of it as something we have not yet attained. We can be granted salvation but it can also be revoked if we fail to abide in Christ.

No not snatched but a person can definitely be thrown out or walk away. Notice John 15:6. John 10:29 is saying that no outside force can take away our salvation. Someone else cannot do anything to take away your salvation.

It’s so sad that so many people resort to misrepresenting others intentions. I see this almost every time this topic comes up and it just seems like such a deceptive tactic of false representation in an attempt to discredit a person to make their argument invalid.
They will be held accountable to God
for presenting a false witness while
all the time preaching a false gospel.

And believe me when I warn ...
people in hell receive varying degrees of
punishment, which are carried out by demons!

Yes. Those that don't abide were never saved.

Which brings us right back to the example I gave in Ephesians 5 where Paul is warning children of God of receiving the God’s wrath for their disobedience. What did Paul say to these very same people in Ephesians 2:8?

I don’t know about that I only know that all who enter hell will burn in the lake of fire.

Matthew 22:37-38
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and great commandment.”

We actually must PROVE our LOVE for the LORD …

1 John 2:5, NLT
Those who obey God’s word truly show
how completely they love Him. That is how
we know we are living in Him.”

BACs who have “no condemnation” are “in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1).

1 John 5:3, NLT
Loving God means keeping His commandments,
and His commandments are not burdensome.”

John 14:15-24
If you love Me, obey My commandments
… He who has My commandments and obeys them, it is he who loves Me
… If anyone loves Me, he will obey My word
… He who does NOT love Me
does NOT obey My words”

Does anyone get to heaven who does NOT love Jesus?
Those who love Jesus will obey His commandments!

IF you PROVE that you LOVE Jesus, then you have
met one of the qualifications for salvation …

Romans 8:28-30
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

Another way to PROVE your LOVE for the LORD …

James 1:12-15
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation;
for when he has been approved, he will receive
the crown of life which the Lord has promised to
those who love Him … But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived,
it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

Love Jesus >>> endure temptation >>>
do not sin >>> crown of (eternal) life

John 15:9-14
“… abide in My love.
If you obey My commandments,
you will abide in My love
… You are My friends,
if you do whatever I command you.”

Those who are Jesus’ friends will obey His commandments!
Does anyone get to heaven who is NOT Jesus’ friend?

John 15:6
“If anyone does NOT abide in Me,
he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
When does the New Birth or regeneration occur? Before or after obedience?

Amen the scriptures speak of salvation sometimes as something we already have but also speaks of it as something we have not yet attained. We can be granted salvation but it can also be revoked if we fail to abide in Christ.

Romans 8:38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8 disagree's

John 6:
37Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never drive away. 38For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me.

39And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day. 40For it is My Father’s will that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

How can you say "We can be granted salvation but it can also be revoked if we fail to abide in Christ."
