Such a person was never in the body of Christ, but may have been temporarily self attached to Christ, like Judas Iscariot. - John 15:2 Commentary - Robertson's Word Pictures of the New Testament

See what your doing here is saying that what Jesus said is not true. Jesus said the Father cuts of every branch IN ME that does not bear fruit. You are saying these branches were never in Christ when Christ is saying they were in fact in Him. If they were never in Christ they were never attached to the vine and therefore could never be cut off from the vine and cast away to begin with.

Believers abide in Christ and do not practice sin (1 John 4:13; 1 John 3:9)

Then why does Jesus tell warn His faithful 11 apostles of the consequences of failing to abide? Is He warning them of something they are incapable of doing? Go look at the verses in John 15 and notice how many times He says to them “YOU”.

According to God's Word all those who continue in known unrepentant sin will not enter the kingdom of heaven because they reject the gift of God's dear son
This is what God's word says to all of us!
God WARNS us a lot about habitual sinning!

1 Cor 3:12If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 14If what he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15If it is burned up, he will suffer loss. He himself will be saved, but only as if through the flames.

False christians.

False Christians? Really? Because I thought this took place right after the Last Supper, after Judas has already left the group to go betray Jesus and only Jesus’ 11 faithful apostles are walking with Him to the olive groves in Gethsemane. So no there are no false Christians present here my friend.

Not at all. In Me is part of the metaphor of the vine (in the vine) and not in the body of Christ under the new covenant which was not yet fully established. (John 7:38:39; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

Yup I’ve heard this before. What are these people doing? Are they not “building on the foundation of Christ”? Is that not bearing fruit? 1 Corinthians 3 is not talking about those who are not beating fruit. Anyone who is building on the foundation of Christ is bearing fruit.

Although He was speaking to them, it’s a lesson for all. Judas Iscariot learned that lesson the hard way!

He was talking only to believers but the message still applies to us. It is still solid evidence that a person can fail to abide in Christ.

Where justification is a legal declaration that is instantaneous and is based on faith (Romans 5:1) ongoing sanctification is a lifelong process.
Haven't you seen all of the many NT verses
which teach us that salvation is a process?

This being true, how can one be permanently
justified ... before he is finally saved?
That is totally ridiculous!

Therefore, everything is a life-long process:
justification, sanctification, salvation.

Absolutely I agree, He was speaking to His apostles but the message applies to all Christians. But the message is still the same that we must abide in Christ and it indicates that it is possible to fail to abide in Him.

Some people bear more fruit than others.
Some people are saved and never really apply their christianity to the extent they can.

Any work you do for your glory rather than the glory of God will be burnt.
