improvise
intransitive verb: To make, compose, or perform with little or no preparation.

To borrow from A. Herbert’s transformational ‘random violence’ prose; “Practice Random Kindness, ,”. Many followers of Christ have dis-serviced their own study by applying the same approach to the indiscriminate delivery of love, no matter how kind, no matter how caring nor intense that love, there is a gentle covering that has no place obscuring the view.

Take for instance those who accept the ‘possibility’ of God moving in their midst, but when called to answer, would rather generate a hostile reaction to the pro-position, against someone voicing any form of promotion to these ends. This goes into that which the Bible writers describe as what one “minds”.

Their minds are set, ,“

Those who live according to the flesh set their minds, ,”

For the flesh craves what is contrary to the Spirit,

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

(Philippians 3:19, Romans 8:5, Galatians 5:17, Colossians 3:2)

“But” as Jesus said; “wisdom is vindicated by her actions”, it is one thing to pray and intercede for the flock to clearly walk in the truth as we should, but if there is slight at work to pray for one’s Church when the random delivery of love clouds their concealed apprehensions of the Spirit, this apprehension causes love to be violated which falls short of conclusive Biblical exegesis.

In this case, love is not wise, love is a distraction,

Even sinners love those who love them.

(Luke 6:32)

This remains sooo-deceptive because the spiritual honor is exhibited by the lip and little else except more warmed-over relativism of study, of morals, of judgement within the Church.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

(2 Timothy 3:5)

All thoughts or insights welcome, thanks!

Acts of random kindness are God's way of our showing kindness to others expecting no reward back from them. What a difference such demonstrated love makes to an individual's life and to the life of the giver.

I'm not understanding this position you've presented Quietbloke?

One thing I do understand to great lengths is it is so common as the sentiment you've posted that by works, it is nearly unanimously opposed to v-5s "turning away". For those who minister the Spirit and whom should be pillars of true kindness, should also know when to exhibit tough love too.

But as I mentioned, if this canard continues as it is, a total reversal of v-5 and the call is ripe for change after a season of kindness, and by ripeness, I mean just as the op suggest; a quiet hostility to evoke v-5, and wrought by the patience of the saints, is the latter-day Church now expected to assist in such a quench?

But, it is time! 2 Timothy 3:16 says “All scripture“ is to be used in just such a manner , , to change a crooked course something or someone has taken. That means it is time to speak out and make straight paths for our feet, not such a time to be silenced nor stand down hard-truths scripture calls to our attention. Such a response can’t be allowed to permeate the Church. Though I know for the better part of the last twenty years, peddlers of apostacy have capitalized laity’s lack of resolve.

This gave rise along about ten-yrs ago to ‘Chrislam’ from apostates wanting to “reach out”, thus, the damaging effects of leaders willing to compromise. But that is only one example of giving scriptures the boot, for still by compromise and abandoning the clear standing of the text we bring in and allow to permeate our quarters of the mission field.

Turning away, or truly turning away? It’s time to forward this chunk of concern to the Father in heaven by His Agent on earth to uphold His infallible word. The attack upon the fundamentals of the Christian faith BY Christians in error are rampant in case anyone hasn’t noticed.

I may not be clearly understanding but I think trying to appease others in the name of love is not always wise. Had lunch today with a friend who was describing a Muslim event he attended. He was very shocked when I said "Islam is of the devil because it denies the atonement through Jesus Christ". I think I might have lost a friend today.

BTW, I don't think all Muslims go to hell but that is another conversation

Thank you 'Creslaw'! No, you are correct. But your clear train of thought seems to have an end of it's own with that final statement,

If Islam "is of the devil", how may I ask do they find themselves in the presence of the Lamb?

Just my thoughts here but if a person has an opportunity to accept Jesus Christ and turns it down, then I cannot see them going into God's presence.

But God has a precedent of "winking" at ignorance (Acts 17:30, Romans 2:14-16).

PS: Anyone know how to make references in the book of Acts show up as a link?

Of course, you probably won't find anyone contending over that. But as we know from the book of Revelation, all available places of folks who are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life are all cast into the lake of fire. If you support one of these outcomes for those Muslims who escape hell, that it is somehow to be considered an option, I'm afraid they too would see the same fate.

Do you think there could be a difference between the 'book of Life' and the 'Lamb's book of life'. Revelation 20:12 refers to those who are judged "according to their works". To me that sounds rather like those who have not heard about Jesus Christ but have lived according to their conscience (Romans 2:14-16).

Good question, however much a deviation from the thread. While it is true God will judge impartially according to what ignorance has done in this life, this does not remove sin, and you know sin cannot enter therein, yet as you’ve correctly referenced, God will not only judge outward deeds, but also the secrets within man by Jesus Christ.

You see what is at stake here don’t you, that those whom die without the knowledge of the gospel are by merciful justice given additional passage to excuse the sins they may have loved to be involved in, how are they to know that the most heinous acts are wrong if their culture has for centuries carried them along?

Since God will impartially judge everyone for sinning against what they know to be right,

everyone is guilty and thus everyone needs the gospel. Lesson 11: God’s Impartial Judgment (Romans 2:12-16) | Bible.org

, , still wishes to judge. I say, there is a point of saying those acts will also be held to the same as for the ‘elect’ in their estate who will be ready to resist by,

“, , they loved not their lives even unto death.”

(Revelation 12:11)
