Is abortion analogous to taxation?

I've been thinking about the "my body; my choice" argument. If bodily autonomy is a right, can financial autonomy be a right as well? (as in "my money; my choice")

Or perhaps taxation is a necessary evil in which there is no viable alternative?

I think "bodily autonomy" is defined specifically to only refer one's own body.

From a Christian perspective your body is not your own. You were bought with a price:

I Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Your money is not your own either, you are a steward:

Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with someone else’s property, who will give you property of your own?

And you should pay your taxes:

Romans 13:6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Hi Rubiks/David, I agree. Here's a quote I like about the point you just made David:

"A baby is cradled / carried in the womb of it's mother, to grow and be nurtured until birth. Each baby is a wholly separate person from it's mother: With different DNA, different fingerprints, with possibly a different blood type or the opposite sex. The baby is a person living within a person and not "the mother's body". The mom is appointed to care for the separate life she carries within her and once it's born, find a home for her baby, if she can't provide one."

Unless you are referring to an "abortion" in which fully developed baby is "carefully" removed full term so that it remains alive and unharmed, then that "Abortion" would be okay. Okay in the fact that it wouldn't be an abortion at all. It would simply be a child birth.

Or you can encourage all women everywhere to join Alyssa Milano's "sex strike." Who would have thought that abstinence would prevent unplanned pregnancies.

I'm sure blacks, Indians and others didn't mind laws calling them non-persons.
