Fifty-three percent of Americans said they have a favorable view of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. — the highest among seven 2020 Democratic presidential candidates Gallup tested last month.
People were more split on Sen. Bernard Sanders, with 46 percent reporting a favorable view and 45 percent reporting an unfavorable view in the survey, releasedWednesday.
Both Mr. Biden and Mr. Sanders were also seen favorably by about three-quarters of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents.
