what if the man wants to keep his baby alive but the woman wants to kill it... the woman gets to kill it anyway. pro choice gives her the right to take away the fathers right to keep his baby. neat aye.

No. I am saying the husband and wife need to agree because both of them conceived the baby.

Why are you making this harder than it is? Married couples have to agree on all things they share and the number of people in their home.

so it's ok to kill a baby so the father doesn't have to hear the mother complain?
come on...seriously.

if two grown adults decide killing a baby instead of adopting it out is ok then it shows how sick society has become.

If a woman doesn't want to have a child then she should either practice safe sex or as I heard it said: "A woman should keep her legs together and the man should keep his zipper up." It's not hard to be a responsible adult and abstain from sex or at least be responsible enough to use birth control.

I think you're being a little naive that's all.

In the case of a baby's life in the womb, where a married couple dont agree, and the father wants the baby but the mother doesn't, then the baby dies (in a horrible way). that's just the way we as a society have made it to be.

a couple of weeks ago I offered to adopt a baby that was a few days later sadly aborted. the father wasnt even told he was a father . he was not given any voice, the baby was not given any voice.

fathers have no rights about whether a baby lives or dies.
these two were married. that worked out for the baby didnt it... the father wasnt even given a choice.

there was the option of adoption for that baby, but pro choice meant it was torn apart in its mothers womb. you talk about Mothers Day, it was a sad mothers day.

your thoughts come from an ideal world but the world is not ideal.

and where that fails or birth control fails then adopt the baby.

For that reason, Ohio law requies schools to teach sex education in health classes. Otherwise students old enough to get pregnant would not know how to prevent it or the effectiveness of conctraceptives. The big lesson is abstanence is the only sollutiion because human errorb makes no contraceptive mehtods perfect for either men or women. It is sad that not all schools teach these important lessons.

So someone cannot be pro-choice and love animals? Really?

Being pro-choice does not mean that a person favors abortion. It simply means that they believe that the choice--which could include carrying a fetus to term--must rest with the pregnant woman.
People usually do what they want to do. And the pro-choice choice group aborts usually because of selfishness, not wanting to be responsible for the consequences of sex outside a marriage and then when it's brought up in conversation, justify their position with extreme circumstances like rape of death threatening situations.
Well the fetus is certainly in a death threatening situation with the pro-choice group. I can just hear the fetuses communicating to each other on the telepathic network: "Hi Charles, this is Mary, I heard through the grapevine that you are almost through our first trimester?" "Not quite, it doesn't look good for me. My Mom is pro-choice, she doesn't know who my Dad is and she is unemployed. I can't sleep, I'm crying all the time, thinking I'll never get a chance to see the outside world." "How about you Mary?" "Well, my parents are pro-life, married, spirit filled Christians who can't wait for me ... They are decorating the room already. I'm sad for you though, tough break." "I know, life was welcoming before Roe Vs. Wade, or at least the Law prohibited abortions back then
... I would have had a chance to say Hi MOM, I love you. Well goodbye Mary, have a nice life."

You are talking nonsense Ronald. Fetuses can't think like that.

Not all pro-choice people like doing it for selfish reasons. That should be clear by now but many pro-lifers choose to ignore the well-articulated explanatinos by me and Archive.

Except being pro-choice doesn’t mean that I would be advising a pregnant woman to have an abortion. Given that I’m personally opposed to abortion, why would I do that Nor does it mean that the laws governing abortion would change. Republicans have controlled the White House and Congress for many years but Roe is still on the books. I suspect that it will remain in force.

Oh, and many who have abortions are “spirit filled Christians.”

Far too often pro-lifers claim the only medical reason to abort a pregnancy is a life-threatening condition
affecting the mother that can't be treated in a way that saves the fetus.
There is no medical situation a mother could face that requires out and out abortion (that includes even ectopic pregnancy, preeclampsia and the like).

The medical community, pretty much across the board, does not consider treatment to save the life of the mother which results in the death of the child to be abortion. That is the way they view it even if the death of the child is almost inevitable.

The law views the situation the same and always has.

Where did you get this information? I assume you are not medical doctor or gynecology LPN.

This statement is offensive and demeanng to every mother on this forum who has a different opinion. How dare you say that two days after Mother's Day!
Both this generalization and the generalization you're critiquing, I think, are unhelpful in this sort of discussion.

I know one women who needed to have an abortion because her life is in danger. To this day she wishes she rather died and let the baby live. She has lived in despair over her decision for most of her life. She even divorced her husband who convinced her to have the abortion because he didn't want his wife to die. She would agree that she should have given her life. Others might disagree, but there are two sides to all these stories.

Which is why the choice should remain with the pregnant woman.

Of course fetuses can't think like that, it is a fictionalized guilt trip for the abortionist, like a cartoon where animals speak. I'm sure you've seen those cartoons before. But what if they were human fetuses instead? My favorite cartoon was "Lady and the Tramp". I'm kind of creative that way, a musician, a singer, taking after my parents, who I'm thankful didn't abort me!
We can even start at the sperm stage, where sperms are talking to each other, hoping for a 1 in a million chance to enter into the egg. That one gets cheered on by the others ... wow, what a feeling, "I made it ... the mitosis, genetics, DNA, growth into a baby and then birth and all the possibilities beyond that ... I'm on my way to being a human ... unless my mother prevents that!" It's fair, since these are humans we are talking about, not animals. And given time, they will think and speak and do wonderful things if given the opportunity. They have rights! Since God creates a life, no one has the right to destroy it. You don't even have the right to commit suicide. God gives life and takes it away. And all these fictionalized thoughts spoken by the fetuses, are actually thoughts that the parents have and others as well. Given that God and heaven are outside our time domain, and this person, once conceived, has a soul and a spirit, these thoughts are not so unreal.

What if you aborted a fetus, for whatever reason and that fetus, innocent as it was, vulnerable, went right to God and is now in heaven, growing, thinking and speaking. When you get there, what will you say to that person? I'm sorry ... or it was my choice for this or that reason. You do now feel guilty or you will when you see them.

When you get to heaven what will you say to anyone who you wronged? "I'm sorry" is probably a pretty good starting point.

The fetus would never complain in heaven, but be a fully developed baby praising God in whatever way tiny babies can.

Not to nitpick, but you do realize he asked what YOU would say, not what the baby would say.

I for one appreciate you acknowledging that people who have aborted babies have wronged them.

I suspect that we will all be very humble and apologetic whether we actually wronged anyone or not.

Again, there are no bad feelings in heavem, so I certainly would not be guilty after my own death.
there are still consequences in this life for aborting babies, and in the next life.
gnashing of teeth for what might have been and all that
