From Venezuela to Iran, Trump's National Security Advisor John Bolton is pushing an aggressive foreign policy that someday may lead us to an Iraq like war. As a candidate, Trump criticized such foreign entanglements. As President, he seems to be tolerating policies that could lead to further US troop deployments.

In the latest, Bolton reportedly ordered the Pentagon to draw US military plans in the event "Iran attacks American forces or accelerate work on nuclear weapons." The NYT's reports:
"At a meeting of President Trump’s top national security aides last Thursday, Acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan presented an updated military plan that envisions sending as many as 120,000 troops to the Middle East."

Look at Iran now, it is running roughshod over no one..after decades of doing so.

I am puzzled. The agreement stopped them from amassing nuclear materials. Now they are free to amass nuclear materials.

Perhaps you can explain how the Iran Nuclear Agreement was an example of Iran running roughshod over our interests?

Should the U.S. just let Iran run roughshod over us and our interests like they did under Kerry and Obama?

Make up your mind mate, either you have a hypocritical and feeble excuse to murder some foreigners or you don't.

Reread, they ran roughshod over others during the Obama admin, and now don't.

They're on the ropes now and won't be speading their form of terrorism any time soon...well,er, until the next Obamaesque president.
Too bad the Israelis exposed Iran's duplicity last year, maybe we'd still be in lol.

You have yet to make the case that Iran is running "roughshod" over the US during prior administrations. Withdrawing from the nuclear deal was not a win for the US. To the contrary, Iran has now stated they will resume their nuclear enrichment activities. Just last week:

Iran's president says increased uranium enrichment will begin in 60 days if world powers don't shield it from U.S. sanctions, under the terms of the 2015 nuclear agreement.

Iran Says It Will Resume Some Activities It Had Halted Under Nuclear Deal

...and what is the Administration's response? Threaten war. Iran is no idiot. They know very well the U.S. has no appetite for another war in the Middle East.

Are you sure about that?

A MAJOR OIL PIPELINE IN Saudi Arabia was struck by armed drones and temporarily shut down, the kingdom's energy minister said Tuesday, calling the move an "act of terrorism and sabotage" that marks the second attack on the Saudi oil infrastructure in as many days.
..
The Yemeni military was not known to have developed armed drones, according to a global analysis by the think tank New America, making it likely the weapons were provided or operated by the rebels' patron, Iran.

Iran Nuclear Agreement
The one negotiated with 5 other nations and the the EU?
The one that curtailed Iran's nuclear program?
The one they were abiding by?

How is that running roughshod over us?
