Another terrorist met his end. Imagine if today's generation was the generation of WW2. Nazis were rightfully shot dead in clusters after being captured and disarmed.

Meanwhile, the Brits captured Nazi spies who infiltrated England and offered to pay them double what Adolf was paying them to report false Intel back to Germany.

Nobody was more surprised than the Brits themselves when they discovered after the war that they had manage to catch and flip every spy the Nazis had sent over...

Brutality wins the war. Not rainbows and unicorns.

Intelligence wins wars, not brutality. Now that the enemy knows that surrendering and talking mean nothing to the US, they've got no reason to do either. Plus every prisoner we brutalize leads ten more people on the fence to switch sides.

PROTIP: less brutality, more intelligence.

Was it love your enemies and pray for them or curse your enemies and wish the worse for them?

Don't worry... if we've learned nothing else from observation, it's that Chrstian values are only meant to be followed:

1. By other people,
2. When there's a large enough audience,
3. When it's not inconvenient.

Man's justice.

What makes you so sure it's just mans justice? Does God say let the repeated offender thief go with no punishment? I seriously doubt it, so how much less repeat murderers? It's the natural order of a very sensible law, and yeah, mans law, the law the bible says God has his hand on, and for good reason, to punish for the sake of stopping the offender, as well as justice, especially in cases like we are talking about.

Or, how do you think God stops people like ISIS...lightening/loving them to death? Or does he expect good people to not look the other way?

So just maybe your "bad bad Christian" comment is not quite accurate.

Matthew 18:21-22 doesn't apply... good to know.

It's the natural order of a very sensible law, and yeah, mans law, the law the bible says God has his hand on, and for good reason, to punish for the sake of stopping the offender, as well as justice, especially in cases like we are talking about.

Murdering and mutilating a prisoner after he intended to talk doesn't seem like man's justice...

Or, how do you think God stops people like ISIS...lightening/loving them to death?

Nah... too Christ-like.

Or does he expect good people to not look the other way?

You'd kind of have to in order to turn the other cheek...

So just maybe your "bad bad Christian" comment is not quite accurate.

Well, it's bad and badder... not seeing anything Christian about anything being endorsed here.

Obviously, given the number of people speaking on behalf of the soldier, there were other details. Is there somewhere that details both sides, not just takes the shot at Trump?

Well obviously his trial. He was found guilty.

I don't recall the NT prescribing much of anything in the way of justice for criminals.

But either way, can we dispense with the hypothetical nonsense? This wasn't some law enforcement agency meeting out justice. It was some dude(s) getting carried away and going off the rails. The guy who was pardoned shot and killed a prisoner and then tried to dispose of the body. The guy who's still on trial allegedly did worse.

Word gets back to Iraq that Trump pardoned the soldier for murdering an Iraqi in their own country, they get inflamed. Iraqis get incentivized to IED other Americans, killing the innocent for the deeds of the guilty. Americans then call those Iraqis "terrorists", and so the cycle continues.

Or, you can just punish the guilty to begin with. Regardless of occupation or uniform.
