How do creationists test their ideas?

Then I predict you won't get a satisfactory answer.

I'm used to that. I find creationists struggle with answering how.

how He did it,

Unfortunately, the Bible doesn't actually answer that. The last time I pressed creationists for the how in the Bible, they ran into a brick wall.

I would tell them that the Hebrew and Ussher dating is false since we STILL live on the present 6th Day at Genesis 1:27 because God is STILL creating sinners in Christ Spiritually.

And how do you know this to be the case?

God hid His scientific Truth in Genesis more than 3k years ago and when it's found, you notice that it AGREES in every way with every other discovered Truth.

We've already been through this. You get around any contradictions with scientific findings compared to the events as listed in Genesis by basically making up any interpretation you want.

This is a dead end argument.

Except God didn't tell you.
Did the Author of the Book tell me?

And do I have just as much respect from you for believing the Author of that Book is God, as you do believing the Author is not God?

Well ... here's your "brick wall:"

God spoke the universe into existence from nothing.

And I submit that that wall is not as solid as academia's wall, which is much less detailed.

Much less.

An honest answer from academia would be: "We don't know."

Star Trek says the moon is real, as well as Mars.
Does that mean that everything else that Star Trek says is true too?

Every person says something so is everything true.

I guess in the world of star trek it does. But the world God created and does that creation match the Bibles or sciences version, is the question.

but i really do not know since i never have really watched that show may be one or two episodes from the 60's .

What I believe and what you believe doesn't matter.

What matters is what the EVIDENCE shows. And there's nothing in the Bible that could only have come from God. It's completely consistent with what we'd expect of a book that was written by people who didn't understand how the world worked.

Actually it is heaven and earth, nowhere does the Bible say God spoke a universe into existance
Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

That is correct.

What evidence?

An ion trail? vapor trail? plasma cloud? microwave background? time crystals?

It's the same answer in both cases. Creationists don't know how either.
Yes ... I'm familiar with the {we don't know, therefore you don't know either} approach to epistemology.

And I disagree with it.

If you are going to insist that the Bible is an accurate description of reality because it says some things that are true, I will say the same thing about Star Trek.

Are you convinced Star Trek is real?

You believe "God did it" but you can't explain how "God did it". Ergo, you don't know.

And you can pretend to disagree all you want, but until you start explaining the how, you're not going to get anywhere.

You believe "God did it" but you can't explain how "God did it".
Au contraire.

I can take it one step closer to what happened than any academian can.

He "spoke" it into existence.

That may mean nothing in a laboratory, but you can't deny it's not one step closer than just saying, "A primordial atom just was."

In your opinion, I also don't know Who did it, don't I?

You know, pita, with an attitude like that, I'm glad God didn't say anything more than He speaking it into existence.

Your science can go to Hell.

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Is that supposed to be the bit where it states God SPOKE the universe into being?

Because it doesn't.

The things we can find in reality that are able to be tested so we aren't allowing our personal biases to interfere.

Genesis 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

Those verses are speaking about God creating the sun, moon and stars. Notice they (sun and moon ) are called great lights. meaning the moon is a created light. Not a reflector of the suns light as goes the lie of science.

If you will also back up to Genesis 14 or go forward one verse to 17. The Bible states that God place these created lights in the raqia above the earth and not in a made up science outer space. The raqia is an expanse that separates two bodies of water one above the raqia and a body of water below the raqia (oceans, seas).

The idea of a universe comes from science not the Bible and has worked its false concept into the mindset of many christians and they read this idea into the Bible.
A universe as defined by science with endless space with stars, planets, galaxies, black holes, etc... is never mention as being created by God in the Bible. The Bible states many times that God created heaven and earth.
