'What do you enjoy about God?' An old hymn says,'My goal is God Himself, not joy or peace or even happiness, but Himself,my God..'
I've never thought about God as someone to be "enjoyed". Even the hymn you're quoting says as much.'What do you enjoy about God?' An old hymn says,'My goal is God Himself, not joy or peace or even happiness, but Himself,my God..'
The simple truth is that 'Our Goal is God,Himself..' Joy,peace and happiness follows, but is not our primary goal! God is and He is to be enjoyed, not endured.I've never thought about God as someone to be "enjoyed". Even the hymn you're quoting says as much.
Love this!- Casting all my cares upon Him knowing that he cares for me.
- Knowing very well that nothing is too big or small for Him to deal with.
- The Lord understands everything about me and still loves me. He understands how I feel.
- Living by myself, having His presence with me so I never feel alone.
Welcome Peter. So true! Thankyou!I most enjoy God's faithfulness. This quality is very important to me and only God is completely faithful. I enjoy God's faithfulness both as a doctrine and in personal experience.
Thankyou for this helpful comment!I enjoy the company of my brothers and sisters in Christ. We have fellowship with one another, help and support each other in the faith, encourage one another, carrying each others burdens.
I also see the people in the world around me in the world who are loved by God and made in his image. They are very special people with their own unique personalities, talents and abilities. May God bless them and draw them to Himself, and show them the way to Christ.
So beautiful!that he makes fascinating and interesting creations
