I know that in saying this to you, I am "preaching to the choir", and as an ex LDS, you will know suredly that they will say they have Jesus too, but it is a different Jesus to the Divine Son of God in the Bible.

I have been in PM conversation with someone who is adamant that her total faith is in Jesus Christ, and I tried to get her to say whether it is the Jesus of the New Testament or Joseph Smith's "Jesus". She hasn't said which one (yet).

In my reading I saw a statement that said that the most anti-Mormon literature is their own! I know that it is nothing new to you, but I have a lot of enjoyment reading "The God Makers" because, regardless of her total criticism of Ed Decker, all he is doing is showing what Mormonism is by their own literature. Their own literature shoots themselves in the foot every time!

I didn't need The God Makers to help me. I read the Bible and I saw that it contradicts their ism right and left.

No he did not read the Torah, he read the book of the covenant. Joseph Smith did not copy anything from the Bible. He had no written material with him when he dictated the Book of Mormon to the scribes. The gospel was and has been the same since Adam was on the earth. The Book of Mormon teaches how to know good from evil...

The Book of Mormon teaches lies about the Bible:

26 And after they go forth by the hand of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, from the Jews unto the Gentiles, thou seest the formation of that great and abominable church, which is most abominable above all other churches; for behold, they have taken away from the gospel of the Lamb many parts which are plain and most precious; and also many covenants of the Lord have they taken away...

29 And after these plain and precious things were taken away it goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles; and after it goeth forth unto all the nations of the Gentiles, yea, even across the many waters which thou hast seen with the Gentiles which have gone forth out of captivity, thou seest—because of the many plain and precious things which have been taken out of the book, which were plain unto the understanding of the children of men, according to the plainness which is in the Lamb of God—because of these things which are taken away out of the gospel of the Lamb, an exceedingly great many do stumble, yea, insomuch that Satan hath great power over them.
1 Nephi 13

That is pure evil. Christians have been delivered from the power of Satan.

Proverbs 30
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

There is only one Jesus Christ. Why do you believe there are two? The Jesus Christ of the Bible is also the Jesus Christ of the Book of Mormon.
I'm sorry, but your scripture doesn't agree with you:

D&C 130
3 John 14:23—The appearing of the Father and the Son, in that verse, is a personal appearance; and the idea that the Father and the Son dwell in a man’s heart is an old sectarian notion, and is false.

22 The Father has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s; the Son also; but the Holy Ghost has not a body of flesh and bones, but is a personage of Spirit. Were it not so, the Holy Ghost could not dwell in us.
Doctrine and Covenants 130

And your lesson manuals say that your holy ghost can be in only ONE place at a time.

The book of the covenant was left out, why?:

(Old Testament | 2 Kings 23:2)

2 And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD.

Because you claim that the book of the covenant is lost, please prove to me that said book is not the book of the law.

3 John 14:23 does indeed say face to face, and it is the Holy Ghost that dwells in us, not the Father. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit is not the Father nor is He the Son and He is not another god.

I thought everyone knew that Leviticus was the book of the law, not the book of the covenant. If you believe that the book of the covenant is the book of the law and is included in the Bible it is up to you to prove your case.

2 Corinthians 6
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Alma 34
36 And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the blood of the Lamb.

The old covenant was the law. Prove that it wasn't. You brought up this topic.

They are two different things:

(New Testament | Romans 9:4)

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

(New Testament | Galatians 3:17)

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Your holy ghost can't possibly dwell in every church member.

The Holy Ghost is a member of the Godhead (see 1 John 5:7; D&C 20:28). He is a “personage of Spirit” (D&C 130:22). He can be in only one place at a time, but His influence can be everywhere at the same time.

4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises;

(New Testament | Galatians 3:17)

17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

The Old Covenant was a conditional or bilateral agreement that God made with the Israelites. The Old Covenant was in effect during the dispensation of the Law. It is “old” in comparison to the New Covenant, promised by Jeremiah the prophet (Jeremiah 31:31, 33) and made effective by the death of the Lord Jesus (Luke 22:20). In the Old Covenant, the Israelites were required to obey God and keep the Law, and in return He protected and blessed them (Deuteronomy 30:15–18; 1 Samuel 12:14–15). In the New Covenant, things change and God becomes the proactive and unconditional source of salvation and blessing. In the New Covenant, “God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).

The author of Hebrews details some of the differences between the Old Covenant and the New. The Old Covenant required repeated, daily sacrifices of animals as a reminder of the people’s sin. But “it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Hebrews 10:4). Under the New Covenant, “we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (verse 10), ending the need for animal sacrifices. “Where [sins and lawless acts] have been forgiven, sacrifice for sin is no longer necessary” (verse 18).
What was the Old Covenant?

I am going to go with the D&C and not the manual.

How is an adult personage of spirit going to dwell in everyone who already has a personage of spirit in them? And why did your church publish that manual?

Actually Jesus said exactly that. He said that the Father and the Son will come and dwell in you when you receive the Holy Spirit. Look it up.

With Him or in Him. I suppose that depends on which translation of the Bible you accept.
