Some things in life are completely predictable.
What's this "we" stuff? I'm happy this happened. We can still be sad to see Republicans decide that core issues of the republic are less important than the next election.

One of the few purposes of the government outlined in the Constitution is national security.
If this is what Rome burning looks like, pass me some matches.Yeah keep cheering while Rome burns.
If this is what Rome burning looks like, pass me some matches.
One of the few purposes outlined in the Constitution for a Congress is the control of funding.
You've seen the last and best punt on that particular issue to date.
Republican voters have wanted a border wall for decades. If this is what it takes to get it, I'm fine with that.Yeah, strong men removing republican constraints on their power is exactly what it looks like.
Your zeal for the deconstruction the american experiment government and Constitution is noted.
Yeah, it's not like Bush and Obama didn't both abuse the heck out of EP for things even less related to the job of the Presidency. Your outrage is about two decades too late.

I haven't been comfortable identifying as a Republican for several years now. The Constitution may be the fifth gospel for some people but it means basically nothing to me. If it can be used to fulfill my agenda items, fine. But if fulfilling my agenda items means taking some matches to the Constitution as well, I can live with that.
The only President I can think of off-hand who might not have taken matches to the Constitution himself is President Clinton. And even there, I could be wrong.Yeah you've all sold us cheap on an issue you couldn't get otherwise.
It shows.
Name a prior President who requested funding from Congress for x project - was refused - and then declared a national emergency to his way.
The only President I can think of off-hand who might not have taken matches to the Constitution himself is President Clinton. And even there, I could be wrong.
The other Presidents in my life? Reagan, Bush 41, Bush 43, Obama and, now, Trump have all burned the Constitution in some way or another. The only difference between me and those other people is I'm honest about my supreme indifference.
We've had a prior president override the Supreme Court to have his way. If I thought democrats actually cared about limiting the executive branch, I'd be happy. However , I know that this is just more outrage inappropriate content for the left, and they will drop it as soon as they are in office again.
Fair enough.Keep telling yourself that. I don't need convincing as you are not worth my time.
