By going to the most important thing there is, It only has four letters but it is all we need. It has power to heal and the power to make demons flee. It is called "The WORD"

We are so blessed to have the God's word at our disposal 24/7 It truly is our guide book to life

Sometimes storms (smaller than a more serious crisis but it will follow the same) have happened on days before I've prayed the Lord's Prayer in Matthew chapter 6, and those get calmed though when I then pray as He said there.

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

I would always pray in a crisis but it is not the only thing I would do.

I have learned over the years the importance of talking things through with someone you know and trust. Carrying burdens alone can have a very big impact on one's psychological and even physical health. A burden shared is a burden halved - as the saying goes.

Depends on the crisis. If my house is on fire - first order of business is get out. People who've been trained to act in emergencies (and not to panic) usually do fairly well in them. In the military they tell you to "fall back on your training" and there's a certain degree of truth to that. Preparedness is certainly useful.

Crisis - my kid is going to die of cancer. There's an example of its prudent to let go and let God.

Crisis - I was in a car accident and have multiple broken bones. Well, I better get to the business of physical therapy if that's what I need to do.

Now obviously in the course of all of these; we pray. Yet, what to do in a crisis often depends on what the crisis is. Also though; it's prudent not to turn something into a crisis that really isn't.

When crisis occurs how do you get through it?

By making it more tolerable than it otherwise would have been. Since everyone runs into conflicting circumstances his life through, some of them are so heavy they can weigh a person down so bad we are brought into a state such as Jesus' description; "poor, miserable, blind". I have certainly had my share.

I hope those who were raised in Christian homes and setting know how fortunate they are. Some of us had to scrape bottom a while and patiently progress our way to a fulfilled existence. Even now, I do recall that gifted councilor of the Lord while I was dog-thirsty for life, for after a few moments lifted me right up out of my heavy gloom and though I for got about half of what I was comforted over, the effect itself of his ministering stayed with me for years. That was 44-yrs ago.

So don't think your ministering has little to no effect. If we are grounded in the word and bolstered by the might of His Spirit as well as having done well to being brought into the realm of their company, God knows how to impress our words. Pray ahead of time.

But as for having a crises these days as I eluded to; all those those things that hold the possibility of being exacerbated into a crises, social, relational, economical, natural and so-on, if I happened to find myself there let me tell you, we who have made Jesus Lord of our lives have certain friendly installations over our lives than we did before (promises, precepts) which take us to to more solid footing than for those without, by far.

We tend to keep thinking, God could relieve me of this so easy as a snap, well guess what, you're right! Then you probably also know He sometimes allows the trying of our faith and patience, be that smaller than some or the worst in history, or near the end of life, very-very hard encounters of hardship. After about a year of my scraping the bottom of the barrel due to my rebelliousness, my Christian Grandma, (Mary) told me "You almost didn't make it", but she knew I must have cried out to God, and I did and He heard my cries alone and before Pastors.

Every case is particular on its own, the higher the walls of hopelessness, the more brash behavior the victim will take.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"

Truthfully...in the first instance...panic....well in my mind, running round in circles like a puppy dog, then I heard the Lord say, 'why don't you ask me?' now why didn't I think of that? Too busy running round in circles. .
