SO THERE IS NO SCRIPTURE THAT TEACHES GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT IS ABOLISHED? THEN WHO SHOULD WE BELIEVE

You cannot lump believers who happen to rest on the seventh day with Judaizers, that is a miscategorization. No where does Scripture condemn a man for honoring the seventh day instead of the first day of the week, nor does it make him a Judaizer. That name implies much more than Sabbath-keeping.
All judaizers are/were sabbath-keepers, not all sabbath-keepers were probably judaizers, but I think the reason the church was so extreme in its proclamation against sabbath-keepers was the danger of judaizers.

Condemning all sabbath-keepers was the best response to an issue like that?

I do not know, if it was the BEST response, I just try to understand why it was the response.

Do you actually know somebody who is a sabbath-keeper and not a judaizer?

The apostles gave a directive via Paul regarding what behavioural requirements were essential for the Gentiles. The Sabbath was not one of them. Acts 15:28-29

In Romans 14:5 Paul forbids judging a believer over his attitude to the sabbath.

Colossians 2:16 Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day...

You are flogging a dead horse...

By all means enjoy your conviction to observe but don't lay it onto others...

Blessings,

Carl Emerson.

It sounds to me that they felt Paul didn't address everything that needed to be addressed about them, when in fact he does in Scripture address the heart of the issue.

It is the authority given by Jesus Christ, that authority is in the Bible, you know?

Hi Carl nice to see you and thanks for sharing your thoughts here.

ACTS 15 is about CIRCUMCISON as a requirement for salvation and has nothing to do with God's 4th commandments SABBATH except to say that gentile believers would continue learning on it and Colossians 2 is in reference to the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 and have nothing to do with God's 4th commandment being abolished. Your mixing up the SHADOW laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT with Gods ETERNAL LAWS that in the NEW COVENANT give us the knowledge of what SIN is when broken *ROMANS 3:20; 1 JOHN 3:4; ROMANS 7:7.

Thanks for sharing though

God bless.

Yep sorry I do not follow Catholic teachings.

God bless.

And whose teachings do you follow, sectarian teachings?

Because "catholic" here means "general", "common".

If something is in the canon from the 4th century, who are you to put it away? :)

"The testimony of the church of God may stir and persuade us to adopt a high and reverent respect for the Holy Scriptures. Moreover, the heavenliness of the contents, the power of the system of truth, the majesty of the style, the harmony of all the parts, the central focus on giving all glory to God, the full revelation of the only way of salvation, and many other incomparable qualities and complete perfections, all provide abundant evidence that the Scriptures are the Word of God. Even so, our full persuasion and assurance of the infallible truth and divine authority of the Scriptures comes from the internal work of the Holy Spirit bearing witness by and with the Word in our hearts" (John 16:13-14; 1 Corinthians 2:10-12; 1 John 2:20-27). - LBC 1:5

Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it *ROMANS 3:4; ACTS 5:29.

Some interesting comments from the Roman Catholic Church in relation to God's 4th commandment..

God bless.
