Following the text of Ezekiel 38-39, walk me through the text of why I have it wrong. And why you may think this is part or all history.

Here is what I say, to happen during your lifetime...

Gog/Magog takes place - Ezekiel 38
Gog's army is destroyed - Ezekiel 39:4
Then the cleanup, followed by 7 years - Ezekiel 39:9-16
Then those 7 years
Then Armageddon - Ezekiel 39:17-20
Jesus returned to earth - Ezekiel 39:21-29.

I am not a futurist so I will have to go by what the scriptures say. All of what is perceived as future culminated in 597 BCE foretold by Ezekiel in his prophesies.

Do you think the weapons listed below will be used on the modern battlefield?

Eze 39:9 And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
Eze 39:10 So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith the Lord GOD.

Ezekiel 39:17 And, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD; Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.
18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
19 And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.
20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war, saith the Lord GOD.

Do you not realize that the above is connected with the destruction of Gog and his multitude?

Ezekiel 39:4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

Do you not see in verse 4 this?---Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel. And in verse 17 this?---even a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel

And do you not also see in verse 4 this?---I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. And in verse 17 this?---Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you

Just because Ezekiel 39:17-20 comes after we already see Gog and his multitude dead and buried, that doesn't mean Ezekiel 39:17-20 chronologically follow after the burying of Gog and his multitude then, as if Ezekiel 39:17-20 are speaking of different events altogether that occur sometime years later after Gog had already been destroyed some years earlier.

We need to take into account of the destruction of Judea and the wholesale slaughter of its people by the Romans in AD 70.

Do you use the same logic for Revelation 19 as well, since it too depicts an ancient war scene, yet involves the 2nd coming? It mentions horses in Revelation 19. Do you think they are all going to be on horseback then, when Jesus and his armies confront the beast and it's armies? Of course you don't. And if those horses don't have to be literal horses, which we both agree they are not, why do you think the weapons in Ezekiel 39 have to actually be literal ancient weapons then?

Jesus coming is not mentioned in Ezekiel,38 or 39 unless your rewriting ezekiel for ezekiel.

If you are rewriting Ezekiel 39-39 then you will need to add the words armegedon and Jesus.

Do you agree or disagree that the 2nd coming can be found in Revelation 19? Do you agree or disagree that Ezekiel 39:17-20 are referring to the same events prophesied in Revelation 19:17-18 and Revelation 19:21?

Revelation 19:17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;
18 That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Revelation 19:21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

In what way though? You lost me here. Sorry.

Well, if Ezekiel is predicting wholesale slaughter of Jews, and Gog has been dealt with already, the next event where the whole nation was destroyed was AD 70, and so this event might be part of Ezekiel's prophecy.

It's 2019 and Gog has never even been dealt with as of yet. But if that is incorrect, where is the proof? Something as major as this would at least be recorded somewhere in ancient history records. Or at least the Jews would know about this since it involves them, meaning it would have involved their ancestors. Every Jew I have discussed this with though, says there is nothing in past history indicating these things have already been fulfilled. So they conclude a future battle that is yet to take place. Granted, I haven't discussed these things with every Jew on the planet, but with the ones I did, none of them indicated this battle already happened in ancient history.

Birds are always eating dead bodies.Thats what birds do.Every war someone being eaten on.

Where do it say that war is Armegeddon?
Where is the beast mentioned?
Whete is the false prophet?
Jesus teaches the war of Armegeddon comes before Gog invades Israel. You say its the opposit.
According to you Jesus is wrong.

Following the text of Ezekiel 38-39, walk me through the text of why I have it wrong. And why you may think this is part or all history.

Here is what I say, to happen during your lifetime...

Gog/Magog takes place - Ezekiel 38
Gog's army is destroyed - Ezekiel 39:4
Then the cleanup, followed by 7 years - Ezekiel 39:9-16
Then those 7 years
Then Armageddon - Ezekiel 39:17-20
Jesus returned to earth - Ezekiel 39:21-29.
You do have the sequence Biblically correct.
Just the last 7 years, which will commence with a peace treaty between the Christian nation of Beulah and the leader of the One World Govt, cannot be consecutive with the 7 year clean up of Gog's army. It will overlap with it.

You also don't say what precedes the G/M attack; the Day of the Lord's fiery wrath, that will enable the Christians to settle into all of the holy Land and live in peace and prosperity, undefended as per Ezekiel 38:11.

I believe this will all happen within the next 15-20 years.

No, I do not.

What I see is in Revelation 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

a furlong is 1/8 of a mile. So 200 miles - the size of Israel, north to south.
Do a walk through explanation then of the text of Ezekiel 38-39. I am reading the clean up of Gog's destruction, in Ezekiel 39:9-16. Gog's army destruction followed by 7 years.

I gave my walk through explanation of Ezekiel 38-39. I did not say anything about the beast or false prophet.

Armageddon is the gathering place in Revelation 16:14-16 .

But if you believe I have it wrong in my explanation in the opening post, then do your walk through explanation of Ezekiel 38-39.

Ezekiel 38-39 does not say anything about the coming of Christ or the war of Armegedon.

How can I give you a walk through of events that dont exist in Ezekiel 38-39?

Revelation does have both Armeggedon and the invasion of Gog.

Now the question. Why do you teach the opposite of what Jesus teaches?Who side are you on?

That's a tall order, don't you think? That would be pretty tedious to have to do all of that. Why is it necessary to have to go to those lengths? Why not just keep things somewhat simple? For example, Ezekiel 39:4 yet again. God says what He is planning on doing----I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. But if Ezekiel 39:17-20 have nothing to do with this, where else in Ezekiel 39 do we see anything about Gog and multitude being given to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured?
