Matthew 11:28-30 King James Version (KJV)
28 Come unto me, all ye that WORK and are heavy LOADED(BY THE LAW), and I will give you rest.

29 Take my WORK upon you, and learn of me; BECAUSE I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 BECAUSE my WORK is easy, and my LOAD is light.

AS IT IS WRITTEN:

Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest(WORK BY FAITH), any of you should seem to come short of it.

BECAUSE unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

BECAUSE we which have believed do enter into rest(THE DEATH OF CHRIST), as he said, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest(DEATH): although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.

BECAUSE he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest(DEATH OF CHRIST).

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein(DEATH OF CHRIST), and they to whom THE GOSPEL was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

BECAUSE if Jesus had given them rest(THROUGH HIS DEATH), then he wouldn't have spoken of another day afterward saying in David by his Spirit, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

There remaineth therefore a rest(THROUGH THE DEATH OF CHRIST) to the people of God.

BECAUSE he that is entered into his rest(DEATH), he also hath ceased from his own works(WHICH ARE BY THE LAW), as JESUS did from his.

AS IT IS WRITTEN:

Not having mine own WORK, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the WORK which is of God by faith:

Let us WORK(BELIEVE) therefore to enter into that rest(THE DEATH OF CHRIST), lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Yes, Faith is the only required work.
One needs to accept the free gift by faith.

Rest in the Law; not rest from the Law.

This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

That's true but many Christians forget this part: ;)

John 14:12
Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

You referenced the verses, yet you misquoted the scriptures into your own interpretation.

Proverbs 30:6- “Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.”
