• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I have come to realize that I have several personality disorders, mainly NPD, which I believe came from my over indulged childhood. I’m just wondering if this is what’s referred to as reprobate mind in the Bible. And if so, then predestination must be true. If we don’t have a choice about our personality then how could we have a choice about our relationship to God. Especially if a personality disorder effects how we think. Were some created before time for destruction? Esau seems to be such a one, I really don’t think he had a choice, I don’t think he knew what he was doing, I think it was predetermined.

I have a hardened heart yet I'm still trying to resist my sin even though at times I commit it I don't feel remorse but I still continue to rebel against this sin in hopes that the lord can break my heart so I can feel conviction once more

you are never truly out for the count only until you give up

I can never give up, I want very much to be healed, I just want to be a normal person. I never was and it’s very sad. I pray God will have mercy on me. I don’t want this heart.

Here's a couple articles I hope will be helpful to you:

I'm happy that you don't want this, because it hurts
