This refers to the heathen, non-believers, etc.
... before a person receives the Holy Spirit.

Once a person receives the Spirit,
he/she is declared righteous and a whole lot more!

However, this righteous standing must be maintained!
(Ref: the NT) ... verses available upon request.
If it has to be maintained, by us, then how are we not, at least in part, responsible for it...?

I think obedience is a fruit and not a root... Something that is "supposed to be enjoyed" from, and maybe after, your labors, in that fruits right season... But do not kid yourself about enjoying it or not, and don't deceive yourself either, cause if you are, or your not... well...?

God Bless!

Here's the deal.

In every thread that I start with an OP ...
I post several NT verses which PROVE the OP title.

People respond against the OP title ...
without dealing with the verses in the OP.

Often, they post the NT verses that they prefer
... without dealing with the verses in the OP.

It should be obvious that one needs to actually
deal with the verses presented in the OP ...
instead of ignoring and/or rejecting them!

Yes, of course!!!
There are many NT verses which warn about
the consequences of habitual (unrepentant) sin!!!

Have you ever read 1 Cor 3:11-15 which concludes that Christ is our foundation that we build upon with our works afterward? When we accept Christ as our Savior, He becomes our foundation. The works that follow become a reward after our death, or are lost if they are not righteous. But our foundation of Christ is not lost, and neither are we even if all our works are burned up.

So, you still insist that you can get into heaven
without loving Jesus, and being His friend?

And the fruit came from God and you working together, but you know you did not produce the fruit... I do not think Salvation is dependent upon "our own" obedience, and/or especially in what men would judge as to whether one another was being "obedient" to God or not... I think that's out of our scope or perceptual range with each other... And, is just plain, "wrong" anyway...

God decides, or should decide, not us...

Judgment is by no means "simple" you know... Maybe only simple to the simple mind or simple-minded, but they would be wrong now, wouldn't they...

God Bless!

What...? I already have that...

Or I like to think I do anyway...

OK, then you tell me just what does a person who loves Jesus and is a friend of Jesus, "looks like" in a person, and then I'll answer for sure, K...?

God Bless!

Yes, of course!!!
If that were true, then Christ died for NOTHING.

Gal 2:21 - I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law (not sinning), Christ died for nothing!”

the consequences of habitual (unrepentant) sin!!!
Yes, they DO warn about consequences of unrepentant sin. But NONE of them speak of losing salvation. That has to be forced into (presumed) the verse/passage.

I have always dealt with all the verses you've quoted. And, still, NONE of them speak of losing salvation.

That has to be forced into the verse. Presumed.

otoh, I have proven the opposite; eternal security, as taught by Jesus Christ.

John 10:28 tells us that recipients of eternal life, which is the MOMENT of saving faith, per John 3:16, 5:24, 6:47, shall never perish.

It could not be more clear than that.

So, the moment of saving faith, the believer receives eternal life, and from that MOMENT, shall never perish.

This goes well with John 3:14-15 ""As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life."

What does this "moment" consist of...? And what about afterward...?

Some sins he hates more than others...

God Bless!
And that is where many of us get it wrong, and don't have our priorities (nor our poles, or perspectives) straight, if you ask me...

God Bless!

What are these habitual unrepentant sins or sin you post about?
Any sins which you do habitually (w/o repentance),
which you have not gained victory over.
Those who do gain victory are called "overcomers".
(For Jesus' definition of who an overcomer is,
see Revelation 3:21.)

“Do you not know that the unrighteous
will not inherit the kingdom of God?
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators,
nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals,
nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous,
nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners
will inherit the kingdom of God.”
(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Parallel verses are:
Galatians 5:19-24
Ephesians 5:3-6
Colossians 3:5-9
Revelation 21:8
