if the 2018 Interims were any indicator, mercifully this will be a one term presidency!
Obama lost over 60 seats in his midterm. Then won a landslide in 2012.

Most of the rational posted here for dropping the impeachment efforts, e.g. there’s not enough time left, are better reasons than Mrs. Pelosi gave. “He’s not worth it.” ... Really? If President Trump is such a detriment to the nation, it would be worth the effort right to the end. The nation is worth it, right?
Am I reading her motive wrong here?
So she’s saying that he’s not worth the effort to do harm to, continue to thwart, etc? Very interesting way for her to phrase it.
Not liking the personality or polices of a President is not cause for impeachment.

Madame Speaker is making this statement because she knows the Mueller report will not have impeachable offenses. Those with any contact in the Trump campaign indicted were for offenses prior to joining team Trump.

I wouldn't hold my breath on lightening striking twice - closing down the federal government for 35 days with no observable benefits and declaring a "national emergency" to bypass the role of Congress appear to be strange strategies to set the stage for a 60 seat landslide!

Having the Speaker announce that "he's not worth it" might be welcome news for most Presidents, but for a narcissist" its a slap in the face!

Well the shutdown was after the election. So was the national emergency.

I was referring to the 2020 Presidential Election - if this President is facing federal and/or state criminal charges once he leaves office, to what extremes would Donald J. be willing to go to remain in the White House!

Michael Cohen made a passing reference to this in his testimony - what happens if this President refuses to accept the legitimacy of the 2020 Election, should he lose!

We've already seen hints of this when he described the 2016 Election as "rigged" before he won, and then establishing a "commission" to investigate the 3 million "illegal" ballots that prevented him from winning the popular vote!

He only has like a year left of his term so I'm not even sure what impeaching him at this point would accomplish anyway.
It might stop him breaching USA intelligence security arrangements by demanding that compromised people be given "top secret" access to USA security information. It may also stop him obstructing justice more than he already has. It would also open him to indictment as a ex-president.

In other words "We've tried everything but we can find nothing to get him impeached"
It's more likely, that with control of the House to block until after the 2020 election, he's been politically neutered already.

Pelosie should be impeached for among other things commandeering a huge jet to fly her and family and friends back and forth across the country. That is thievery of the tax payer but the swamp tends to protect its own. Look at Bill & Hilery for example, they should be in prison for among many other things, making it possible for Russia to purchase 20% of Americas uranium. So sorry folks but greed and selfishness rules, especially in DC.

Pelosi is being a realist here. Impeachment would just raise his profile and rally the base, when he doesn't deserve that kind of exposure.

Nancy Pelosi says impeachment of Trump 'just not worth it'

Without 60 votes in the Senate, there would be no point in impeaching this President unless there is bipartisan support - if the 2018 Interims were any indicator, mercifully this will be a one term presidency!

Once this President is out of office, "The Donald," his family and Trump Enterprises will be facing one criminal case after another for the next decade - I seriously doubt Melania will be there on "visiting days" when he's in prison!
This is what we SHOULD be worried about: it is only a 12 min video that will explain why America should be concerned for its future:
If you do not trust the link, then google Jonathan Cahn and NYC Baal.

Guys, if he's being controlled by Putin then he absolutely must be impeached since yesterday. By implication, if Pelosi and the other Democrats do not want to impeach a Russian plant, the only logical explanation is that they themselves have been compromised as well, and are working for Russia and covering for Trump. This is devastating to realize, but we must consider all possibilities here.
