I think we would all be better off if we accepted the results of elections, even if we don't like the candidate who won, and then looked forward to the next election when, with more effort, more organization, a better candidate or whatever, we might win instead of lose.

Gracious yes. I sure do wish Donald had accepted the result of our last election. Despite the gerrymandering favoring Republicans, Democrats won millions more votes. They won the House popular vote by the largest margin in decades. Instead of accepting that with any dignity or grace, or just accepting it at all, Donald decided to hold the government hostage over Christmas, into the new year.
This is the man who said he wanted to bring back Merry Christmas who served up proverbial coal on Christmas day, acted like that was a treat. It put our nation's security in grave harm. Was entirely counterproductive to his claim about wanting to protect our borders, showed instead that it was all about fetishizing the wall. Longest government shutdown in our history. He cost us billions of dollars & accomplished not a darn thing.

Wish he'd accepted the results of the election in 2016. On account of his pride being busted up on account of millions more Americans, by the largest margin in our history, voting for his opponent, he wasted time & money investigating fraud but did diddly squat about the fraud in NC in 2018.

Wish Donald had accepted the results of the elections in 2008 & 2012. Instead he started that pathetic birther nonsense. He also raged about how the Electoral College is a disaster. Well maybe on that he is actually right.

Speaking of Trump not accepting the election results, he said he wouldn't accept the results if he lost.

People for years were just as nasty towards Obama.
Nope. That is not true. There were some Americans who took their shots, but it was nothing like what we got when the losing side in 2016 announced that it would do whatever it took to overthrow the election.

And this featured not just nutcases on social media or known extremists, but elected officials at every level of government, most of the national media, and at a much nastier level. That is a fact. And it did not include continual harassment against the president's property, relatives, and any supporter who so much as went to dinner with a spouse.

Signing Bibles? Good grief. Who doesn't want their Holy Bible signed by Donald Trump?! SMH.

Donald being Donald, he probably thinks his signature makes it worth something...

Do you think he signs the inside cover, or the beginning of Two Corinthians?

The Right weeps for Donald because nobody else will.

Meanwhile, remember the American Hero who stood up to his predecessor?

I'm curious what anyone has done to "overthrow the 2016 election". How do you "overthrow" an election, years after the fact?

After the birther fiasco this seems a day late and a dollar short.
But aren't you happy that this minor blip in our history that hardly anyone bought into occurred? It provides people with endless opportunities to mention it whenever anyone points out that Obama was treated with kid gloves by all the media, elected officials and representatives of both parties, unelected celebrities and opinion-makers, and so on?? . . :)

I certainly agree that our current president is hardly anyone.

No there isnt.

Its not even close.

And why would they try to fool people like that?

Obama was given many many breaks and many many prayers. Just didn't seem to help.

That is laughable and of course you have no evidence whatsoever to back it up. Therefore we are through here if facts are no longer to be part of the discussion. But by the way, how did you decide on claiming half the Republican party? Flip of the coin? Or did it just sound pretty good?

I don't?
Just over half of Republicans still believe Obama was born in Kenya, according to a YouGov poll.
Republicans still think Barack Obama was born in Kenya

Donald Trump has been given many many many breaks and many many many prayers. Just didn't seem to help.

After all those breaks and all those prayers, he still perpetually tells lies as if lying is second nature to him and he still insults and mocks people he doesn't like. The fruit he bears is rotten to its core.

I'd love to have someone document that. What you've said is easy enough to say, but demonstrating how occasional digs at Obama equal the hatefest that was orchestrated against Trump before he took office and has been going on for two years now would really be an accomplishment.

This attempt at gaslighting never ceases to amuse.

More reputable polling organizations put the figure at about 20% (CNN!), 24%, 27%, and 47%. The number of Democrats who believe it was 17% in one poll.

Link, please?

Is it okay with you when the President mocks others? Like a physically disabled man or a candidate's wife? Or his primary opponent? Or his former mistress? Or a former contestant on his beauty pageant? Or his former Attorney General? Or a war veteran or gold star recipient? Or an NFL player?

I could keep going...

Shirley one person is not guilty of all this.

Criticizing a president's policies is not the same as mocking the president. Obama had plenty of policies to criticize.
And Trump has plenty of reason to criticize him. And yes there were plenty of horrible stuff said about Obama and wife. That had nothing to with his work.
