That's referring to the great tribulation. It has nothing to do with the abomination of desolation being some kind of global destruction.

Sigh. Now listen. Pin this somewhere if you will.

Few years from now, Israel will be invaded by a powerful army and Jerusalem will be captured. These armies are the locusts of Revelation 9:3. This is a parallel to earlier invasions in the book of Luke and Daniel which were foretold as allusions to coming times.

The invasion will occur towards the last half of tribulation. Few months to this, the Jewish remnants (or messianic Jews) will be sealed on their foreheads. They'll begin traveling by road from the north, east and south to the wilderness wherein they'll be kept safe.

For those coming from the north and east like Syria and parts of Asia respectively, God will split the river Euphrates into smaller streams so to enable them cross.

For those coming from the south in Africa, God will dry up the red sea to enable them cross.

For the rest in Jerusalem who've been surrounded by armies at that time, God will cause a great earthquake to occur, splitting the Mount of Olives into two. Part of the mountain will move up north, the other part will move down south creating a valley that runs sideways. The Jewish remnants in Israel will escape through this valley to join the others.

If you're well grounded in scriptures, these all make sense by now and you probably have an idea of where they're all converging to.

Matthew 24:21 NIV: For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now--and never to be equaled again.

You just stated this verse has nothing to do with the abomination that causes desolation.Have you never read what Jesus says about the abomination which causes desolation?Keep it in context and learn from Jesus.

Matthew 24:15 So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination of desolation,' described by the prophet Daniel (let the reader understand),
Matthew 24:16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Matthew 24:17 Let no one on the housetop come down to retrieve anything from his house.
Matthew 24:18 And let no one in the field return for his cloak.
Matthew 24:19 How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers!
Matthew 24:20 Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on the Sabbath.
Matthew 24:21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.

THE ABOMINATION WHICH CAUSES DESOLATION IS THE CAUSE OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION.

If you were well grounded you would know Donald Trump will have a military occupying jerusalem,in the next few years.

Zechariah 14:1 Behold, a day of the LORD is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence.
Zechariah 14:2 For I will gather all the nations for battle against Jerusalem, and the city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women ravished. Half of the city will go into captivity, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.
Zechariah 14:3 Then the LORD will go out to fight against those nations, as He fights in the day of battle.
Zechariah 14:4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half the mountain moving to the north and half to the south.
Zechariah 14:5 You will flee by My mountain valley, for it will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD my God will come, and all the holy ones with Him.

Ive noticed a false teaching on this board and thought i would point it out.The claim made by a couple of people that the Lord is preparing a way to save the people in the previous verse. That fact is if they belonged to Christ they would not need to flee. When the Lord comes as the scripture points out those who belong to the Lord would be incoruptible.Nothing can hurt them. They cant be killed.

1 Corinthians 15:54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come to pass: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."

Fact is those who are fleeing in Zech 14:5 are the same fleeing the abomination that causeth desolation. These people who flee are appointed to wrath. They are not saved.

Luke 21:23 How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers. For there will be great distress upon the land and wrath against this people.

If they belonged to Christ they would be sealed and wouldnt need to run from anything.Insted of being saved ,they are going into exile as verse 2 states. They are being cast out of the kingdom.

Matthew 8:11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 8:12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."
In Zech 14:1-5 Christ has not yet returned physically, his return in verses 3-4 is spiritual. All these events are taking place before his second coming.
(1) Jerusalem will be taken (Zech 14:1-2, Isaiah 13:16)
(2) The residue of the poeple will not be cut off (Zech 14:2)
(3) Christ spiritually stands on the Mt.of Olives and drives out the nations who took Jerusalem (Zech 14:3-4, Ezekiel 11:23)
(4) People of God will flee to the valley of the Mt. (Zech 14:5)
(5) Small stone of (Daniel 2:44-45)
(6) That was cut out without human hands (Ezekiel 9:5-11, Daniel 2:45)
(7) These are those that escape of them (Isaiah 66:18-19)
(8) Who Gather in the chosen of God into the Kingdom of God (Isaiah 66:18-20, Ezekiel 11:16-20)
(9) These are "Lively stones" (1 Peter 2:5, Ephesians 2:19-22)
(10) This is during the great tribulation (Revelation Chapters 15, 16, and 17:1-13, 13:5-18)
(11) The small Stone/Kingdom of (Daniel 2:44)
(12) Becomes a great mountain (Daniel 2:35)
(13) That causes the world government to fall (Daniel 2:35)
(14) These things come to pass before Yahshua comes/destroys the Heavens, earth, and wicked with fire(Matthew 24:29-31; Micha 1:3-4; Isaiah 66:15-17,26:21,2:9; Zephaniah 1:18,2:22,3:8,1:2-3; Haggi 2:6-7; Malichi 4:1; Joel 2:10,31; Hosea 10:8; 1 Thess 1:7-9,2; 2 Peter 3:10; Revelation 6:12-17; Revelation 20:9).

Here is a more extensive study on the subject outlining what exactly is taking place in Zech 14.

So you also believe the people ofGod will flee from thier enemies after the Lord comes.

Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you in one direction but flee from you in seven.

Are you sure they are the people of God that are fleeing from thier enemies?
Youbelieve after Christ comes and stands on mt olives ,and after his chosrn have put on immortality that they will flee from, thier enemies making God a lier? You really believe that?

The Lord has said it is the people of God that will flee to the valley of the Mountain before his return in the flesh to destroy all unrighteous nations and the heavens and the earth by fire.

Where does he claim, ownership of these cowards?
Deuteronomy 28:25 The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but flee from them in seven. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

The bible. Also it says they are not cowards but will be as lions amongst sheep(Micah 5:8) and that the 144,000 sent out to gather the second remnant in will be a great and powerful people(Joel 2)

Again brother that is not what is spoken of in prophecy. What you are quoting from is the Lord's promises from the Old Law. Even still, if you remember he does drive out the Nations who took jerusalem, and he also destroys all the wicked when he returns in the flesh. But again, he has also said that the people of God will flee to the valley of the Mountain.

Ive asked for proof that tbosr who flee belong to God and insted of showing proof you argue with the word of God.Here is the proof they do not belong to God.

Deuteronomy 28:25 The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but flee from them in seven. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

Well brother the proof was in the links but maybe you missed them? If so I guess I will quote the whole study for you here. And remember you asked for proof, and in order to know if a doctrine is true or false you must study all of it completely comparing all scripture will all scripture.

(1) Jerusalem will be taken (Zech 14:1-2, Isaiah 13:16)
Jerusalem will be taken by all nations

(2) The residue of the people will not be cut off (Zech 14:2)
Only a residue of the people(a very small amount) will not be taken or killed(since they were the righteous of the city).

(3) Christ spiritually stands on the Mt.of Olives and drives out the nations who took Jerusalem (Zech 14:3, Ezekiel 11:23)
The mount of Olives(2 Samuel 15:30; Luke 22:39; Matt 24:3; Mark 13:3; Luke 21:37), sometimes referred to as the mount of Olivet(*2 Samuel 15:30* Luke 21:37; Acts 1:12) or the mountain just east of Jerusalem(Ezekiel 11:23; 1 Kings 11:7), is a mountain in Israel where Christ ascended(Acts 1:*10-12; Luke 24:50-52). This is where he will return spiritually(Zech 14:3, Ezekiel 11:23) in the same form he appeared to Paul on the Road to Damascus(Acts 9:3-6, Acts 22:6-10, Acts 26:14-18) which is his original form(Christ's original form was a spirit, that is why he had to become flesh-John 1:1-14, 1 Timothy 3:16) Flesh and blood cannot enter into heaven(1 Cor 15:50).

(4) People of God will flee to the valley of the Mt. (Zech 14:5)
After this the Lord divides the mountain into a great valley(Zech 14:4-5) to which the people of the Lord will flee it will be the Lord's kingdom on earth until his coming in the Flesh. There will be peace in the valley(Isaiah 11:6-10; 25:6-10; 65:20-25; Ezekiel 28:25-26) and the Child shall live to be an hundred years(Isaiah 65:20).

The small stone of Daniel is the First remnant, of the Great mountain(God's Church), who were sealed by God(because they bore good fruit). Those who were not sealed were the brambles and tares(those who committed abominations in the sight of God) being purged from the Great mountain/Lord's Sanctuary in the Slaughter of Ezekiel 9.

(7) These are those that escape of them (Isaiah 66:18-19)
Those that escape of the Slaughter(144,000 who hold the pure virgin doctrine) who the Lord has set his mark upon will be sent out to all nations to all those who have not heard God's fame or seen his Glory.(Ezekiel 9:4, Revelation 9:4, Revelation 7:3)

I look forward to hearing what you think after you read the whole study and look up each of the passages quoted from studying what has been provided, what you asked for.
I asked for proof that says Gods chosen people will flee and you still have not given one single verse that says so.Here is proof thst Gods chosen people DO NOT FLEE FROM THIER ENEMIES..

GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES.
Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you in one direction but flee from you in seven.

Here is proof, those who have disobeyed God will flee.

Deuteronomy 28:25 The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but flee from them in seven. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.

You seem,to be trying your best to make God a lier.

These people, who are fleeing... are those that have found Christ after the rapture. The church, or all believers, were removed at the rapture.... They will not be placed under this wrath. Just as Noah was removed and Lot and his family were removed.

I have given you proof and you have refused to even read it.

Now I am leaving this discussion brother, as there isn't any point in carrying on a conversation that will never bear any fruit.

May the Lord bless and guide you, that you may understand the truth and light of his word.
