Not really. You investigate crimes with probable cause. The investigation may turn out that no crime was committed.
And when the "probable cause" aka "The Russian Dossier" turns out to be a fraud, should the "investigation" continue for two years to look for probable cause? Call it what you want, it still doesn't change the fact that it was a political witch hunt with the intent of political assassination by congressional democrats.

If mueller has the goods on trump, it will be more related to covering up embarrassing actions and or financial related crimes.
Regardless, that was not the purpose of the investigation. The purpose was to investigate the claims made by a dossier (who was later determined to be a fraud), not to go on a witch hunt looking for crimes. How would you feel if you and everyone you knew was being investigated for two years over a claim that was proven to be false to look for anything you have ever done wrong in your past with the intent of destroying the career and reputation of yourself and all those around you? I would bet you would call it a "witch hunt" too.

This is simply false, even if the investigation later did confirm a number of the thing in that dossier.

I think it should be a crime to do an investigation to look for a crime. This was clearly a witch hunt.
Funny how many actual witches ended up being discovered.

It is weird how the story constantly shifts from "Mueller didn't find anything" to "the stuff Mueller found isn't meaningful" and back again.

Where are you going to find people on either side who do not have out of country experiences or business dealings?
According to the articles posted here which"exonerate" Trump, pretty much every past presidential campaign had less contact with Russia than his.

The Senate Intelligence Committee investigation is not done. You wishing it was does not make it so.

I am the first one to admit that it is looking like a lot of bad choices where done, and people where caught. And maybe it doesn't reach Trump. But it all still needs to be investigated, and the evidence shown to show how bad it has gotten.

I don't hold out hope that this will lead to Trump being impeached, mostly because I don't know. But this has not been for nothing, and at the very least, some rats that tried to get into power got caught.

I do worry about the ones that slipped in due to Trump.

If legit and credible probable cause did not exist, the fbi overstepped their bounds. In this case, it appears the fbi was on very thin ice and likely got out over their skis.

That could be the case while the mueller probe, still being legit.

We could argue this all day, but the rules do allow mueller latitude to widen his scope. Whether thatbis right or wrong, is up for debate.

I will add this, if you had a special council investigate all the folks in high office in washington and gave the council latitude to look at many different things, you could probably find enough to indict at 25% of them, on some crime.

The House investigation happened when Republicans held the House. Republicans still hold the Senate. Special Counsel Mueller is a life long Republican, appointed to to lead this investigation by a Republican Deputy Attorney General appointed by President Trump and confirmed by a Republican Senate. So I'm confused how this is all a Democratic witch hunt.

Trump and his associates claim no contacts with Russia, and the investigation finds numerous contacts with the Russians.

Trump and his associates claim that nothing untoward was discussed with Russia during those contacts, and the investigation finds that they indeed meet with a representative of the state that was specifically trying to influence the election.

Trump and his associates then claim, well it's not a big deal, because those meetings weren't fruitful. We tried to influence the election with the Russians, but we failed to get good dirt.

Likewise, Trump repeatedly claimed "I have no business in Russia", when he had significant financing in Russia, and was working on a deal with Trump tower when he was making those statements.

And, of course, according to you, the problem is that people want the investigations to complete before making a final determination.
