I give up :(

Thanks for fellowship in the faith these last five years I've appreciated it greatly and I'm honest when I'm saying that I love you all dearly as brethren and sisters in christ.
I will always cherish the time I spent here and I'm sure with time I'll be able to cherish my time in the catholic church too as I've learned a lot about Christ too. I've not been treated bad most of the time in my parish and I've enjoyed reading papal documents etc from the past.

I have to remember the good things not just my wounds and our parish the least two years and the papacy of Francis.

I hope I'm welcome to visit OBOB from time to time even though I'm not in communion any furthermore.
I'm not sure where I'll go at this stage, but I'll revert to Lutheranism for now and I'll probably once again approach the Orthodox church sometime.

Again thanks for having me, thanks for loving me and finally thanks for putting up with me.
I'm sorry if I've distressed you guys through my battle of faith. You guys have always been providing me with a home even when I've had nowhere else to go, I'll never forget that.

God bless all of you I will always love you people.

OP.

Why give up? What are your reasons?

Best described as plentiful, but mainly theological.
It's a culmination of something which has been grown for years.

Out of respect of my brethren I'll not go in depth, but I dont believe that the papacy anymore.

No need to worry, it was just the hardest decision I've ever had to make. It has been a long and difficult journey, but now its finally over.
I will go to a very conservative Lutheran parish and with time I will move east.

Roads can go in many directions before they lead home, even passing through home and out again. You are always welcome here. And if ever there's anything I can do for you just message me.

No matter where you are, you are my brother in Christ.

Whew! Thank you for the clarification. I stay out of this thread as I am not a Catholic but your post caught my interest and I wanted to make sure you are OK. Blessings

The Catholic church is bigger than one man.

Many Popes have come and gone that have not been at all popular. Some downright evil.

The Catholic church has Jesus as its cornerstone. It is built on solid foundations. Yes, parts of the building are falling apart but, no way will it collapse.

I'm very sorry and sad to see you go. Your struggles, believe it or not have helped me sort out my feelings and frustrations. I hope you do not leave us all together.:(

Of course you are always welcome to fellowship with us. Just remember- don't jump out of the frying pan and into the fire! You have been through enough already.

And remember, the doors are always open with a lit candle in the window for you to return back home.

Love & Prayers,
Michie

I'm sorry, but I feel like you're throwing in the towel and I can't just say farewell. I'm also kinda mad to be honest. I kept replying to you and others, in the other thread...but only received scant responses. I get that you're tired, we all are. But I feel like you guys were just consoling each other and encouraging each other to leave. I cannot express to you how horrible I think this plan of yours is. The void your absence as a functioning member of the Body will make it insurmountable to fill and it is we who will have to make up for it. What you're doing is wrong. You're leaving the Bride of Christ because of mere men. You are cutting yourself off from the Sacraments and worse from us. I cannot abide this. Call me ignorant...mean...whatever....it's just wrong.

Always brother, always.

Love you in Jesus.

I assumed everyone read it in the context of my previous three years or so.
I forgot to tag it (Catholics only), but I didn't mind as I thought this wasnt particularly catholic anyway.
