For 20 years I lived a lie, my parents lied to me about Santa, the Toothfairy, and many other things.

This is one major reason it was so hard to take any supernatural event seriously as I got older the lies have been constantly fed.

Evolution, and the like.

Now I am in a constant traumatic episodes of "what if I am still in the illusion"?

What if my personal faith in Jesus is an illusion and I am believing in vain. What if I am a false convert and don't know it?

I need to find out.

Yes after finding out in some things I believed were lies it made me this way.

If you haven't yet then you need to get help counseling in dealing with it.

Regarding lies ... all of us deal with lies in one form or another ... concentrate on the truth when you learn it and go forward from there. Taking the attitude that everything is a lie or could be a lie, or that you have been lied to in the past serves no good purpose whatsoever.

May the Lord give you some peace.

I prayed for a renewed mind.

And I think or believe that it happened this morning.

But I don't know if I am capable of knowing things.

I think I am only capable of thinking or believing.

But how can I know? And I don't understand what knowledge or knowing even is.

Knowledge is what one learns from experience and/or education.

If you believe you are incapable, you will be incapable.

Learn from your experiences and educate yourself through the Word of God.

Concentrate on His Love, His faithfulness, Learn all you can about Jesus.

I have understood that the Santa and tooth fairy things are meant to teach a child to imagine. And they are meant to help a child to grow to be able to distinguish truth from reality. They are expected to grow to the point where they realize it is time to be too smart to be fooled by that stuff, anymore :) and to enjoy having so graduated.

So, possibly, you took all that the wrong way. I understand, though, that ones say all that was lies and deception. But, even if this is so, you can be thankful to God that you have become more able to tell the difference between what is true and what isn't. And trust God to make you more alert, all the time, so you can't be fooled.

Ones say, don't assume anything! And God's word says,

"Test all things; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

God does desire for us His children to make sure about things, with Him :)

And He is honest; so it is wise not to make a project of raging about how humans are not like God.

Now, of course, if humans have told you untrue things, it can be natural to decide that humans might not be telling the truth about Jesus. I offer > I understand your point if this is what you mean.

And with this > isn't it so how we humans can fool our own selves and not know it!! > no need for anyone else to help us deceive our own selves.

Why do we? One thing I think of, now, is this > we want things to be our way; so we can tend to believe what we want to be true.

May be this is what is happening with certain ones who believe the idea of evolution, for example. The idea of evolution can include competition and survival of the superior. And humans can tend to want to be more and have more than others; therefore, they might be ok with a scientific or a political or religious process which is about competition and being superior to others.

There even are people who want to think they are superior to God, too smart for Him, too good for Jesus. Therefore, ones selfish and into pleasure can have their way of not wanting the Gospel to be true. And we can make ourselves the judges, wanting to be judges, ourselves . . . as ones so able to fool our own selves and not even know this.

But God is way more and better than we humans. Humans can make things like computers which are so less than we are. But God makes creatures which are alive!!! Atoms and molecules and sun energy do not make you a feeling being.

And even though Jesus is so superior to us, Jesus cared about us enough to leave Heaven and come here in a human body in order to reach us and personally share with us and save us so we can share as His family in all His good which He has with God Almighty His Heavenly Father.

But humans can not tend to be so ready for love and family sharing and caring. So, this keeps us from knowing and experiencing how God in His love is. But Jesus so suffered and died like He did, so that we can trust in Him and be forgiven and reconciled with God and then so share with Him

. . . personally . . .

not like how a numbed number of people mainly relate with their pleasures and entertainment while with each other. God can change us to become truly loving in personal and tender sharing with Him plus with others who are this way.

To clarify, just so I can better meet you where you are at:

You believed in Santa and the Tooth Fairy for 20 years? And are you saying that you see evolution as the truth now, or as a lie now?

I will make my best guess.

I believe and think Santa is not real same with the other stuff like evolution.

And I believe and think I found out at 3rd grade.

I don't know if knowing is possible. Except for me exclusively.

I definitely get it. When that used to happen to me, I'd ask myself what makes more sense, nothing into something from the big bang and then that into things so intricut that we don't even understand most of them, and all by chance? Or creation?

See, I have never seen one single thing come from nothing, but we see people creating things all the time...it's how things come to be.

I no longer concern myself as Creation makes perfect sense, and the other, none whatsoever.

My biggest source of confusion is from other Professing Christian's.

I believe in a Global Earth
I believe homosexuality and abortions are sins and unnatural.
I believe preaching the Gospel is good.

Yet they all say I'm wrong and make me feel stupid.

Look at this, it hurts my brain and I think she is wrong. But she would say that I'm wrong.

So I don't know who to trust.

I feel like they keep slowing me down.

I tried my best and I researched everything, my points have not changed yet, according to them I am a heretic for not believing in a flat Earth.

How much longer do I need to research this issue?

And I always have to get myself into apologetics in order to defend my faith.

I'm really getting tired of it, and want a break for once.

But if I take a break the robber will come and sow his poison in my mind again.

I am always in a apologetic battle.

Stop stop stop stop stop.

Jesus saves you.

His work not yours. You are realizing that you can't trust in yourself. That's a good thing, none of us can.

Just breathe.

Say: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.." (Philippians 4:13)

breathe.

Apparently to some I am for not believing in a flat earth and bla bla bla and so on.

Don't listen to those who desire to take salvation from you.

You are saved. Believe it because Jesus said if you come to Him then He will never turn you away.

Believe Jesus. Don't listen to satan.

You aren't hanging around the right people. I'd dare say most of us think just as you do, right down to the Flat Earth opinion. :)

Even the best of Christians with basically the same heart will have disagreements.
