Is it normal to be fallible after being saved?

The Gift of Tongues is only given to a few...
Many Pentecostals disagree with that.

It is spiritually damaging to be taught that you must speak in tongues.

I don't know if God gave me to a reprobate mind. Or if he sent me a strong delusion.

Scripture claims its possible.

It does say that in places like 2Thess 2 for one who turns away from hearing truth? But it does not say that not knowing about truth to start with is the problem. "if you were blind you would have no sin" John 9:41

"To him that knows to do right and does it not - to him it is sin James" 4:17

So on the one hand God "has you covered" for that which you honestly don't know.

But if you try and "play God for a fool" well then Gal 6:7 "God is not mocked". So then God is not fooled by someone "trying not to learn truth or be corrected" as if that sort of "ignorance" will be a safe guard for them. He marks such a person as one who "turns away from hearing truth" and 2Thess 2 results.

you are fine "not knowing stuff" but you are not fine "turning away from the Word of God on purpose".

Satan uses scare tactics to scare the saints into "paralysis of the spirit" too afraid to look into the Word of God for fear that they might do something or think something "wrong". It is the one thing Satan cannot defeat so he sets his minions around it to say "shoo shoo - get away from here. ... be afraid to look"

I haven't studied it, because I was just newly saved August 4th.

I didn't fully understand that God was actually 3 in 1 the moment I got saved.

It happened a week later.

Also I do not have the gift of tongues.

Some would tell me I must speak in tongues and most know everything.

Some would say that I didn't get saved until I got baptized. Or if I got baptized in the "wrong" church, I must find the "right church", then be baptized.

Some would say that I didn't get saved and it was all a mere emotional experience and I would have to wonder where God predestined me

It's driving me insane.
You don't have to speak in tongues. You don't have to be baptized, ( but you should do this as a public profession of your faith). Churches have short courses on what the "believer Baptism" is. Or "Immersion baptism". You will learn what it is for and what it represents and why you should do it. You will also learn some basics of Christianity and how to read the bible, have daily devotions and about prayer.

You are a new Christian. Find a good church that preaches the gospel. Get into a small group or find someone who can be your mentor and accountability partner.

Don't go trying to become an super Christian. It will take time for you to grow, learn and understand the depth of your relationship with Christ.

The Baptism WITH the Spirit does NOT save anyone, neither Baptism WITH water. There is only one baptism that saves us and that is?

I concur with this scripture:

Romans 12:

and this scripture:

(Note: I do not interpret this scripture the same way my old church understood it. In fact, I believe what they taught - especially the teaching that glossolalia tongues was a requirement and was given to all who seek the Holy Spirit - was in disagreement with this scripture.)

Certainly I still believe that the Holy Spirit is active today in our lives. We are given various charisms (gifts of the indwelling of the Spirit), though that doesn’t necessarily mean prophecy, speaking in tongues, etc. The greatest fruit of the Holy Spirit is love. Without that, all else means nothing. I believe we are in a continual process of being sanctified, choosing God each day, growing to become more like Him. We don’t just stop with a decision to follow Christ, but through the help of the Holy Spirit, we grow spiritually. I believe that it is a necessary part of our spiritual life.

I also strongly believe that speaking in tongues is not a requirement for salvation like many in my Pentecostal Church taught. It is not the normative sign of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I do not believe it is right for people to keep children at the altar until they speak in tongues. I also do not believe in OSAS (which incidentally, my belief regarding OSAS is the same as I was taught in the Pentecostal Church).

Some parts of what I was taught remain. Others I strongly disagree with.
If any church or denomination teaches that Tongues is necessary for salvation then they are FALSE teachers...

There are 3 Baptisms but ONLY one of them saves us.
