Is it normal to be fallible after being saved?

I don't know if there is a pre-trib rapture. God didn't tell me everything when I got saved.

I made some mistakes and got into some heresies when I was brand new.

I'm getting antagonistic thoughts telling me that this fallibility means I am damned.

Well don't know what I could do or the right thing to do.

How do I know?

Do I need to get re-saved?

But I already believe the gospel.

So lost forever because I got deceived the very first week?

I don't know how it works.
We have a loving God. Deception is Satan's realm. Since you have discerned this then you are on the right track. God does not expect you to "get it" He expects you to "stay the course". Deception and sin abounds and only the Holy Spirit can put you through the narrow gate which sounds like you are headed towards.
Blessings

But how do I know that's its a Bible believing Church? And how do I know if he's teaching the right things.

Acts 17:11 "they studied the scriptures daily to SEE IF those things spoken to them by the Apostle Paul - were so"

Those people were not even Christians and they could do it. You ARE a Christian - so you can also do it.

People will have a problem if I learn from a Calvinist which I learned most of my theology from, people will have a problem if I learn from a Baptist, people will have a problem if I learn from a Lutheran, and so on.

There is another way to look at it.

It is certain that the Catholic church has some element of truth in its doctrine, the Methodist church has even more truth in its doctrine than that... the Baptist church has even more than that... and so on.... you can view it as a ladder of truth - take the best of wherever you are and keep moving forward.. Don't go backward.

I say Abortion and Homosexuality is a sin

If it is just "you" saying it - then you could be wrong -- but if it is GOD saying it in Lev 18 and Rom 1 and 1Cor 6 -- then "trust God" and don't worry that "someday God might be wrong". go with the obvious and move on from there.

I say that we are saved by Grace through Faith, and the Grace transforms us

If it is just you saying it - then you could be wrong. But if it is GOD saying it in Eph 2:8-10 and 2 Cor 5 - then "trust God" and move on. Go with the obvious and move on.

I told God countless times, if I end up in hell, then I wish I was never even born.

I have been getting thoughts, "What is the point of all this, if there is a chance of going to hell, I'd rather not even take the risk, why was I born in the first place?"

Stop right there. you need to read John 14 very carefully - the assurance of full acceptance with God IS NOT an experience that you get as soon as you have infinite knowledge and have perfect doctrine. It is an experience you can have on day 1 EVEN WITH some things in your doctrine that need to be "Fixed".

John 16 Jesus said "I have many MORE things to tell you but you cannot bear them now" -- Take comfort in that -- God is not going to fire hose you with more truth than you can handle. Neither can you "go to sleep" and stop walking with God.

Strange how we never get these thoughts before we know Christ. You believe John 3:16-17 and Rom 10:9-10. Then.. you start getting these thoughts..your not really saved.. if you were saved..if you loved Jesus you would never do that.. on and on.

NONE of those thoughts are from God and the devil can not tell the truth. So if the enemy is telling you your not saved...should tell you YOU ARE! And GOD NEVER uses fear.. God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.

He loves you.. He is not against you... ok so you missed it you sinned more then once.. allot.. ok so what? Well you think NO believer sins..and then allot at times? We all miss it. We all live in the flesh. The word says.. we all have sin..if we say we don't we deceive our selfs and the truth is not in us.

We can't sin freely... but if you did REPENT.. then KNOW He is faithful and just to forgive you and to cleans you from ALL unrighteousness. DONT GO BY FEELINGS. You confess your sins... turn over a new leaf so to speak. you do a 180.. and keep going and FORGIVE your self. We all have missed it.. we all fall short.. sorry..your just like the rest of us :)

And no you dont have to always sin.. there are times a day or what ever you wont.. but temptation will pop up and.. just dont walk in sin.. walk in as in you dont care.. just going to sin.. NOT a safe place to be..

But know that Christ is FOR YOU not against you He loves you ..you sinned? He loves you.. He is still there.. The WORLD will leave you the WORLD will NOT forgive you.. HE WILL! HE KEEPS HIS WORD! He came and died just for you.. thats how much YOU mean to Him. So ... go in peace.. you are free.. HE SET YOU FREE! Sin no longer has a hold on you

I don't know if God gave me to a reprobate mind. Or if he sent me a strong delusion.

Scripture claims its possible.

If God had sent you a strong delusion, you wouldn't be asking questions about it.

God does not give anyone a reprobate mind, He "gives them over" to their own reprobate minds. And because in their reprobate minds they don't want to know the truth, He sends them a strong delusion to give them the lie that they want.

This is the same thing God did to Ahab in 1 Kings 22. Ahab stated beforehand that he did not want to hear the word of the Lord, so the Lord sent a lying spirit to deceive him so that he would not hear the word of the Lord.

God gives you what you really want.

That's was not what I was expecting, but many Christians make it sound so.

Like if I get deceived or fall down, God is just going to watch and laugh instead of point out my flaws and help me.

People say all sorts of things on forums. Study your Bible instead of listening to people who are or might be wrong!

If you were saved, you are saved. God will NEVER laugh at you. And you can only be saved once.

Jesus said: "And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" (John 10:28). See John 6:39, 17:2, 11,12; Romans 8:37-39; II Tim. 1:12; 4:18, etc.

Philippians 1
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

I made some mistakes and got into some heresies when I was brand new.

This is why it's so important to be discipled by a spiritually-mature believer.

I'm getting antagonistic thoughts telling me that this fallibility means I am damned.

No, you aren't damned because you stumble and fall. Is a baby cast out by its parents when it staggers and falls as it learns to walk? Of course not. No parent would think of doing such a thing. How much more loving, and gracious, and faithful God is than any human parent! He doesn't throw us away when we wobble and fall as we learn to walk with Him. Instead, He helps us to stand and grow strong in Him that we might learn to walk well with Him.

Well don't know what I could do or the right thing to do.

I can send you the discipleship guide I use. Just PM me if you're interested.

Do I need to get re-saved?

But I already believe the gospel.

Do you love God? Do you believe the Gospel with your mind? Or with your mind and heart? The difference is that a heart-belief always produces corresponding action, it shapes behaviour. Is this the kind of belief you have in the Gospel?

So lost forever because I got deceived the very first week?

That depends upon what you've been deceived about. What heresies did you get into, exactly?

I don't know how it works.

Then find a spiritually-mature man to disciple you!

ALL Christians are baptized with the Spirit!
No they are not. The Baptism WITH the Spirit is a separate experience along with the other two where one takes place immediately at conversion and the third is water baptism.

Every day we need to make a choice to follow God. He is there to help pick you back up each time you fall, which we all do. Keep focusing on the goal; it’s a marathon, not a sprint. God is there for you and is the One you can trust in for everything. If you find yourself in heresy, praise God for helping you see that error. Stop belief in it and turn to / continue following God.

(One more note - baptism is important; I recommend looking into it soon.)

That is a Charismatic's opinion.

I repeat:

Jesus said: "And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand" (John 10:28). See John 6:39, 17:2, 11,12; Romans 8:37-39; II Tim. 1:12; 4:18, etc.

If you don't believe God's word, you weren't saved. If you believe it, read it!

I used to be Pentecostal, so I know your opinions and reasonings. I have been sealed by the Holy Spirit, but it wasn’t through speaking in tongues.

I remember church camp as a kid where everyone went up to the altar to speak in tongues. We were taught that we all should be speaking in tongues so I went up with everyone there, since I couldn’t speak in tongues and was supposed to be baptized in the Holy Spirit at the altar. The leaders didn’t want to let me go since I wasn’t speaking in tongues. I was very sad because I wasn’t being baptized in the Holy Spirit despite a strong desire to be a follower of Christ. I thought I must not be holy enough or must have something wrong with my faith.

Thank God I have learned much more since my childhood. I am sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit despite not being given the gift of speaking in tongues, unlike what I was taught as a child.

Please don't neglect being Pentecostal; speaking with new tongues is an evidence of the baptism with the Spirit

The Gift of Tongues is only given to a few...
I concur with this scripture:

Romans 12:

1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. 4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. 6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

and this scripture:

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.”1 Corinthians 12:4-10.

(Note: I do not interpret this scripture the same way my old church understood it. In fact, I believe what they taught - especially the teaching that glossolalia tongues was a requirement and was given to all who seek the Holy Spirit - was in disagreement with this scripture.)

Certainly I still believe that the Holy Spirit is active today in our lives. We are given various charisms (gifts of the indwelling of the Spirit), though that doesn’t necessarily mean prophecy, speaking in tongues, etc. The greatest fruit of the Holy Spirit is love. Without that, all else means nothing. I believe we are in a continual process of being sanctified, choosing God each day, growing to become more like Him. We don’t just stop with a decision to follow Christ, but through the help of the Holy Spirit, we grow spiritually. I believe that it is a necessary part of our spiritual life.

I also strongly believe that speaking in tongues is not a requirement for salvation like many in my Pentecostal Church taught. It is not the normative sign of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I do not believe it is right for people to keep children at the altar until they speak in tongues. I also do not believe in OSAS (which incidentally, my belief regarding OSAS is the same as I was taught in the Pentecostal Church).

Some parts of what I was taught remain. Others I strongly disagree with.
