There is so much around us to see and enjoy! What things can you see and enjoy around you?
I love the word,'ebullience!' 'Cheerful and full of enthusiasm'. If we can do that watching paint dry we can do it with anything!I'm having the home decorated, so have the sheer ebullience of watching paint dry.
True Anthony! I used to work nightshifts with Royal Mail,as well as church ministry,so I know how you feel. When I had a day off I would enjoy an outing with the family. If I wasn't working nightshifts or watching paint dry on my days off, I'd be out on my bike exploring the fabulous Staffordshire countryside. I'd probably be more cheerful doing that - and it would certainly look more interesting than magnolia gloss.
Now I am retired from full time work I enjoy looking around my living room and out of the window at the garden. There are so many different things to see and enjoy, television being one of them!True Anthony! I work nights as an RN so I tend to sleep during the days and this time of year I tend to miss most of the daily sunlight, (except when I'm not feeling too tired on my days off). Having spent nearly 10 years without watching TV, I'm a bit of a TV junkie nowadays, especially with all the hundreds of channels and catch-up options! And just to think when I was little, we only had three channels to choose from! Now I am retired from full time work I enjoy looking around my living room and out of the window at the garden. There are so many different things to see and enjoy, television being one of them!
I like keeping up with the news on television, documentaries and nature programmes. I love to look at different countries or places which I cannot afford to go to! Christian TV is also inviting mainly,TBN for me.I work nights as an RN so I tend to sleep during the days and this time of year I tend to miss most of the daily sunlight, (except when I'm not feeling too tired on my days off). I can identify with your sentiments, I sit and rest in an afternoon with my dear husband, enjoying our retirement. We are blessed...I am sitting beside my wife! I appreciate the way she looks and the beautiful person she is within,as well as on the outside.
I got better at praying when I started praying some in my backyard. We have these nice, big trees there, and I'd think about how God created the Earth with so much care and love when i'd see their beauty. It's easy to keep to the praying when you can look around and thank him for the sights. And you get that good breath of natural air.
I've always liked looking at the sky most of all though. The shapes of clouds are amazing to me. I get lost in the sight when I see the sky. And the peacefulness of night with the stars and the moon is cool too.. and the planes lol.
Enjoyed lately:
- seeing snow stick to tree branches
- when sun makes snow look like diamonds sparkling in it
- when we passed a church daycare this wk and toddlers were out walking; child and I both said "they're so cute"
-when our dog gets groomed and she's super fluffy again
-when we come home and a stray cat is sitting on our porch mat warming themselves in sun and not in snow
-seeing not so long ago pregnant mom carrying her baby

Looking forward to the next thrilling episode in this paint drying saga! Will there be a third,Anthony? (Hee hee)Enjoying watching the second coat of matt emulsion drying on the ceiling. It reminds me of the importance of endurance and patience and that good things come to those who wait!
